Pat McCrory: Freedom Fighter or a Sexist Liar? Let's Play ObAwesomeBall!
So we'll start off with politics, but first.....Fake Politicians of the Week brought to you by the AA/Mark Administration! So as you guys know, over time both Mark and I have gone on the main chat and disguised ourselves as various politicians (mostly Governor's) and it has been very well liked by some and very well hated by others. My accounts include the Political Officer, Andrew Cuomo (D), Governor John Kasich (R), Governor Paul LePage (R), Governor Christie (R), FmrPresGeorgeWBush (R), PresBarackHObama (D), MrTheodoreRoosevelt (R), Governor Mark Dayton (D), Governor Scott Walker (R), and Governor Rick Scott (R). Mark's are Governor Nikki Haley (R), Governor Nathan Deal (R), ExGovernorMittRomney (R), and Mary Pat Christie Davis (R). The poll that determined whether or not these accounts and all the other parodies would be allowed or not in the main chat closed awhile back and by an 11-9 vote, the main chat ended up winning and defeating the "Fun Time" chat option. But really, the Fun Time chat idea failed worse than the God awful trivia on the forum idea back from the :R days. The only catch now though with using these parodies in the chat is we cannot spam the chat aka whoever uses those Daniel Bryan ones and spams either "YES!" or "NO!" Also in relation to politics, Mikel has informed me that Roy is interested in being in Congress along with Captain, Dean who said he plans to run for Vice President, and Deano who said he might run for Senate. Captain and Deano have announced that they will run on the Fascist Party and Dean has not yet specified what political party he affiliates himself with. Now Mikel has not specified yet what political party Roy affiliates himself with either, but if he's a Republican like his older brother, it makes it only easier for the Republicans to possibly take control of one of the houses of the resurrected Congress. But a message right here to all Fascists and Republicans, it won't be an easy ride. You see, I'm running for President and Mark has said he will run for Senate and being that we're both Democrats and we have a large caucus in guys like Tony, Joey, Ben, or Adam C, although these are now honest elections, we, the Democrats, will try to do whatever it takes to bring back the Presidency under Democratic hands while we meanwhile attempt to take control of the Senate or the slight possibility of taking control of the House of Representatives. But one things for sure. Whether or not Mark Obama and me, Adam Biden, win control of either house of Congress or the Presidency will not change the fact of how great we have made this prosperous site under the former administration.
North Carolina has a 3 step plan to what they did. In the 2010 and 2012 elections, they got all of their corporate donors to fund their campaigns so that Republicans could take back the state legislature and Governor's seat. Secondly, they gerrymandered the lines so it made all of their representatives and senators in safer, more conservative areas and would make it harder for the Democrats to unseat them. And now what they're doing is passing a voter suppression bill which would get rid of early voting, end Sunday voting, get rid of same-day registration, and various other techniques used to keep all those early voters from voting at all which is primarily used to go against Democrats as they're all doing throughout the country. However, they're affecting such a massive body of their voters that it will effect the people who vote Republican to added onto the fact that things like "Moral Monday's" will start to expand only decreasing the chances of some NC Republicans being re-elected.

Joey Chestnut scarfed down exactly 69 hot dogs at Nathan's 98th Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island in Brooklyn, New York retaining his Mustard Title and another $10,000 in cash for the 7th time. He beat his personal best of 68 by consuming one more weiner and at last year's contest, he ate 62 weiners. Coming in second place was Matt Stone with 51 weiners. and Sonya "Black Widow" Thomas won the women's hot dog eating contest by consuming 37 weiners. Chestnut's rival, Takeru Kobayashi, did not compete in this contest and competed in a different one the same day. But yeah, Chestnut consumed 69 weiners. Let the jokes pursue!

According to Glenn Greewald of the Guardian Journal who was initially the one to report about Snowden to begin with, whistleblower Edward Snowden has some important documents with him currently that he's unwilling to unveil. Snowden now wants to temporarily seek asylum in Russia. Russian President, Vladimir Putin, is welcoming him under the case that he doesn't leak information. Because Snowden says he wants to avoid being extradited back to the U.S. at all costs for fears of torture or the death penalty, he is promising to do that as long as Russia upholds their part of the deal. This is until he can depart for Latin America where Venezuelan President, Nicolas Maduro, has said Edward Snowden is welcomed to seek asylum and where Nicaragua's Daniel Ortega and Bolivia's Evo Morales are also offering Snowden asylum. However, Snowden said he would prefer to stay in a more democratic nation and given that Russia is heavily right-wing capitalist and Venezuela is socialist, he might decide to see if he can somehow get to Iceland, Ireland, Spain, or any other more democratic nations. Currently he remains still around Moscow, Russia. And of course, we can't ever have a story without some dumbass from the GOP intervening! This time it's GOP Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina Lindsey Graham who suggests that if Putin gives asylum to Snowden who he believes is guilty, they should boycott the 2014 Russian Winter Olympic Games which would basically go back to old, harsh 1980s USSR/US tensions. So let's just go back for no reason at all and recreate the Cold War era, right Senator Graham? Graham even went as far as to say the harvesting of a spy leaker is as bad as Hitler's genocide across Nazi Germany which resulted in the 1936 antisemitism games in Berlin and their cancellation in 1940 and 1944 or Carter's 1980 boycott of Soviet Russia for invading Afghanistan. Those 2 other things Graham said are as bad as an innocent whistleblower trying to seek freedom in a country where the 2014 Winter Olympic Games are being held. And the funny thing is, Speaker John Boehner was the voice of reason! Of all people! Basically he said why should we deny our American athletes who have been training so hard for these games denial to participate in them just because a 29 year old guy named Edward Snowden pissed the U.S. government off and Russia isn't doing what they want with him. So from my point of view, first of all, I'm glad he's pretty much guaranteed to not be caught by U.S. authorities thanks to President Obama who's realizing that Snowden is not a traitor, but a whistleblower. Snowden has the support of 55% of Americans while only 34% classify him as a traitor according to a recent poll. I hope Snowden not only escapes any trial and conviction in the United States, but he gets a good enough country to live in from now on for what he sacrificed to this nation. The government was illegally spying on us and foreign nations (which the European Union is currently investigating), and they want to punish the NSA leaker for it which is terrible! Snowden shouldn't have to live in as bad of a country as far-right wing Russia whose poverty rates are killer and he should be able to seek asylum somewhere where he knows he can live prosperous for the rest of his life. Snowden officially got temporary asylum for a year in Russia and after more than a month, was allowed to leave the Moscow transit area. According to reports, during this time, Snowden is expected to become a human rights activist.

And hey, while I'm mentioning this, might as well mention that the infamous Twinkie has returned! There must be an earthquake over in Iowa right about now because Katie is jumping up and down. Walmart saying kill the DC living wage bill or else they will leave. DC minimum wage currently at $8.25 and after this bill passed that would make Walmart's minimum wage raise to $12.50, Walmart will now shut down 3 DC stores and they realize they have the power because the people want the jobs. These jobs are only temporary and part-time because they don't want to pay health insurance.
5 to 2 (Alabama), 20 to 4 (Virginia), 1 to 0 (Mississippi and North Dakota) 4 to 2 (Wisconsin) 12 to 8 (Ohio), 16 to 1 (North Carolina), 42 to 5 (Texas).
Some taxpayer turmoil is also taking place around the world: Specifically in Afghanistan, South Carolina, and Virginia.
A nation divided. Right before the jury made their bombshell verdict, the judge ruled that lesser charges of manslaughter could be declared against Zimmerman. The judge also ruled the jury could also not consider 3rd degree murder so as to say Zimmerman killing Trayvon was not negligence or an accident. Also, defense attorney, Don West, who famously at the beginning of the Zimmerman Trial told a knock-knock joke despite how serious it was, was believed to possibly play a part in the jury's verdict given that he got several overruled objections from Judge Debra Nelson especially about giving Zimmerman a chance to testify and his constant interruptions and arguments with her, but it didn't come to be. Initially, 3 jurors believed Zimmerman to be guilty, 2 thought he was guilty of manslaughter, and 1 thought he was guilty of 2nd degree murder, but in the end, Zimmerman was unanimously declared by this racist, biased 6 person all-female jury that George Zimmerman was not guilty and was subsequently acquitted and released by the judge. According to Juror B37, the Stand Your Ground law made it harder for them to convict Zimmerman, "If George Zimmerman was not engaged in an unlawful activity and was attacked in any place where he had a right to be, he had no duty to retreat and had the right to stand his ground and meet force with force, including deadly force if he reasonably believed that it was necessary to do so to prevent death or great bodily harm to himself or another or to prevent the commission of a forcible felony." Now that was clearly one-sided and heavily affected the jurors decisions on this case. They decided to remain anonymous, but as a result of the law, police didn't make any arrests and prosecutors couldn't initially charge Zimmerman which may be the reason now for Zimmerman's full chance at immunity. Zimmerman, surprisingly enough, had no facial expressions during the entire verdict even afterwards. And I know why that is. Deep down, that fatass knew he killed Trayvon Martin and it wasn't out of self-defense, yet there he was, a year later from the murder, getting freedom when Trayvon got nothing of the sort. The evidence was there. Trayvon's mother went before the stand and testified that the infamous 9-1-1 call that was made had screams which were clearly coming from Trayvon himself while he was getting beaten and eventually shot by Zimmerman. Dr. Valerie Rao even went before the stand and remarked that Zimmerman had lied to the police about his injuries and yet Zimmerman wasn't even given any jail time for that! Zimmerman said Trayvon was repeatedly slamming Zimmerman's head into the cement and punched him in the face multiple times, but Dr. Rao said the back of Zimmerman's head had injuries as bad as one, small slam into the cement and one punch to the front of his face above his nose. Trayvon had been simply buying some Skittles and iced tea in a store for his younger brother and what did the store clerk think of the fact that he was a 17 year old African American reaching his hand into his pocket? Nothing, absolute nothing because he realized Trayvon was a customer and was as equal of a human being as he was and was entitled to the same rights as him. Zimmerman, who was the neighborhood watch captain, claimed to feel "uncomfortable" around Trayvon that day even though he had lived by black guys all his life because Trayvon was "walking slowly in the rain in a hoodie" and was a "suspect" because he was running away. Bill O'Reilly and Geraldo Rivera, those 2 dumbasses from Fox News, have even defended those claims by saying that "criminals wear hoodies." I don't think Rivera has any room to talk about what people should and shouldn't wear because Rivera, who's 70, recently posted a semi-naked picture of himself on Twitter and I'm pretty sure a majority of people think a naked Geraldo Rivera is far worse than a person wearing a HOODIE! Everyone wears hoodies because their the U.S. trend, but O'Reilly, Rivera and the political right are using this excuse to make up for the clear reason Zimmerman killed Trayvon; his skin color. And that's exactly why we need to make sure everyone knows about this and the travesties that are contained within all of these cases and murders. He plead not guilty and probably just like Tsarnaev, Ariel Castro, Bradley Manning, and now Ariel Castro, they could all end up getting freedom either because of their popularity as a football player or a former military private, or the fact that the U.S. legal system is flawed big time. The most recent photos of Trayvon before his death were of him wearing a pink shirt and hugging his mother on her birthday and riding a pony, yet Mark O'Hara did not show those at all and tried showing Trayvon's worst side and saying how he was a thug for dropping out of high school. NYC Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, responded to the acquittal of Zimmerman and the Florida "Stand Your Ground" laws on Sunday. He said, "Sadly, all the facts in this tragic case will probably never be known. But one fact has long been crystal clear: 'shoot first' laws like those in Florida can inspire dangerous vigilantism and protect those who act recklessly with guns, such laws -- drafted by gun lobby extremists in Washington -- encourage deadly confrontations by enabling people to shoot first and argue 'justifiable homicide' later." President Obama also stated, "....We should ask ourselves, as individuals and as a society, how we can prevent future tragedies like this. As citizens, that’s a job for all of us. That’s the way to honor Trayvon Martin." Democratic Congressman Elijah Cummings of Maryland stated how most people couldn't understand how ZImmerman wasn't even successfully convicted of any charges at all and got no jail time from the Sunshine State. Meanwhile, the opposition, including Republican Congressman Steve King of Iowa is saying that Zimmerman shouldn't even had been put on trial in the first place which is an extremist and stupid right-wing view of this. Other awful right-wing views on it included Ted Nugent's who thought Trayvon was a "dope smoking racist gangsta wannabe who brought it on himself" while other GOP members are saying Trayvon was "A rabid dog that needed to be put down." And quite possibly most importantly, Reverend Al Sharpton, the civil rights activist who has stood up for justice in this trial from the start, said in response to all of this, "Justice requires that we stay non-violent and not become what we fight." The jury was given the chance to deliberate as long as they wanted when the closing statements ended on Friday, but they only ended up debating this issue amongst themselves for less than a day. Clearly they didn't consider the other side and as a result, this jury if their names are ever revealed and juries in the future will have to live out of fear just like George Zimmerman for this jury's careless and racist attitudes. The verdict ended up resulting in tons and tons of protests from coast to coast which were all mostly peaceful. However, in Oakland, California, some demonstrators broke windows, started small fires, burnt U.S. and Californian flags, and vandalized several cars including one Oakland cop car. The Oakland protest was followed by a raucous, but peaceful one in San Francisco, and also crazy ones over in Los Angeles where 200 protesters blocked one freeway for awhile in which one arrest was made while on La Brea Avenue there were reports of disruptions of traffic and people on top of moving cars. Other protests took place in NYC, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Miami. Although justice didn't come to Zimmerman, you can better believe it's anywhere far from over. Those who work harder on the side of freedom and equal justice usually win the arguments over time and people are already going to the U.S. Justice Department headed by Attorney General Eric Holder to demand Zimmerman be charged on civil rights charges of killing Trayvon for having a right to life in the federal courts. Around 1,000,000 people have already signed the NAACP's petition to call on the federal government to do this. Democratic Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, on Meet the Press remarked hope for the petition saying, "I think the Justice Department is going to take a look at this. This isn’t over with and I think that’s good." In response, at an NAACP Convention in Orlando, Florida, Attorney General Eric Holder showed up and called for such action. One pertinent quote he said was, "These laws try to fix something that isn't broken." That ring a bell about another controversial issue that is currently being solved as I type this? The NRA is even lashing out against the Obama Administration for this reason and claim that the reason for trying to get Zimmerman convicted is so they can try for their "gun control agenda" again which is ridiculous. Zimmerman's attorneys, Mark O'Mara and Don West, realize Zimmerman is not only risking his own safety from a possible chance he could get murdered for all his hate, but that he could still face a large or up to life prison term. The problem is that not only is their police profiling out there still to this day of taking advantage of African Americans, but it's the fact that it's starting to become a regular pedestrian thing where Zimmerman thought he had the right to see what Trayvon was doing and this is setting our country completely backward from what we thought was progress. For those of us who realize Zimmerman is guilty with 86% of African Americans agreeing while only 31% of whites agreeing, even though these same charges can never be brought up again and could possibly get full immunity from anymore charges under Florida's "Stand Your Ground" laws, we still got to get this guy deservingly behind bars and the fact of the matter is, it can be done. Stand behind President Obama, stand behind Reverend Al Sharpton, and stand behind the arc of justice of upholding the legacy of Trayvon Martin.
Protesters known as the Dream Defenders have refused to leave the Governor's office in Tallahassee until they can get a law known as the Trayvon Civil Rights Act sent to the Florida state legislature. The bill would basically end the controversial Florida "Stand Your Ground" law of 2005 which is also effective in several other states to including: Ohio, Wyoming, Wisconsin, Mississippi, Alabama, Alaska, Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Oregon, Hawaii, Rhode Island, Connecticut, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Missouri, Louisiana, Michigan, Kansas, Indiana, Illinois, Arizona, Iowa, West Virginia, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania which all have Castle doctrines or Stand Your Ground laws in place. In all, counting Florida, that's 33 states. It basically declares you can use deadly force on other people and get away with it under certain circumstances and in Zimmerman's case, good enough, pathetic excuses. Or in a broader sense says who gets to shoot who and under what circumstances. These demonstrators even brought in sleeping bags to sleep in the Governor's Office and the officials say they can stay there as long as they don't interrupt business. Originally, they said they would not leave until they could meet with Republican Governor of Florida, Rick Scott, who was trying to find ways to avoid confronting them by being away from his office for a total of 9 days. However, Scott eventually did meet with them and said he would not call a special session for the bill they proposed to abolish the law even though he also said everyone should mourn for Trayvon. In other words, he gave these some 70 protesters the middle finger and the Bruce Willis wannabe, jackass just wanted his office back. He could careless about his people's voices which are trying to be heard and it's a huge issue. Protesters even tried something similar to this in 2006 when Jeb Bush was in office and got the same result from it. It seems this is just like the voter ID bill he passed that flopped after last years election when the voters who tended to be Democrats had to stand in line for as long as 10 hours to get the chance to vote because the bill slashed early voting. The GOP plan ultimately failed because the Democratic voting block came out in 2012, Florida went for Obama, the law was abolished, and the Florida Republicans looked weak because of it. Lucky for Scott, there are 1.5 million concealed weapon holders in the "Gunshine State" and initially, Floridians loved this bill, BUT now with all these progressives and Latinos coming out of the state from areas like Miami and Jacksonville, this bill is gaining a lot of heat fast and some Republicans who passed this are thinking again about what they did. What's going on here I think is that Scott realizes the same thing would happen to him again making him look like a weak Governor when the chance of repeal fails in the GOP controlled Florida state legislature. But really, Scott already is an incredibly weak Governor so he's not risking anything in taking some initiative for once in this conflict. The Democrats might be in the minority, but you can't accomplish something if you never try and Gov. Scott is being incredibly stubborn in this instance. Marcia Fudge (D), a U.S. Representative from Ohio and leader of the Congressional Black Caucus, is saying on the contrary, "You cannot legislate against prejudice or bias or racism." Basically, she says leadership from the federal government can help in this, but state power has increased so much and went into the Republican's hands in so many areas that nothing will be done about these Stand Your Ground laws. The main problem remains in the fact that today's GOP is primarily white males and frankly, they don't care about their citizens unless they are the same skin tone and gender as themselves. In regards to the Zimmerman trial, 86% of African Americans said they disagreed with the verdict while while a majority 51% of whites agreed with the verdict. The fucking NRA is also back and are interfering by saying that this law deserves to stay in place because self-defense is a human right. The NRA never has any idea what they're taking about and this.......this is another one of them. Senator Ted Cruz, the Tea Party darling from Texas, is also going at it and is saying people who are trying to repeal it, specifically Obama, are doing this in an attempt to "go after our Second Amendment right to bear arms." Where the hell is this idiot getting this information from? If anything, the bill getting repealed would make it safer for people including gun owners because they could freely retreat or shoot down the initial attacker and not be framed for it. And interestingly enough, the attempt to repeal all these laws in these states is becoming partially bi-partisan; at least among Democrats and moderate Republicans. Senator John McCain of Arizona and President Barack Obama who are of course well known for running against each other in 2008, both agree that all these laws need to be put under review by the states and thoughtfully considered. Currently, there's 9 states out there who have Stand Your Ground laws exactly like Florida's and 22 states where their law says residents have "no duty" to retreat from attackers. This is just absurd because it allows for unneeded deadly action in confrontations and even some popular celebrities agree and are making their voices heard in an unusual way. The infamous Stevie Wonder recently at one of his concerts proclaimed he is refusing to ever do concerts in Florida again until they repeal the Stand Your Ground law or in any other states for that matter. His boycott sparked huge support from other big names like Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Usher, Jay Z, Kanye West, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Rod Stewart, and many others. "The Boss" himself, Bruce Springsteen, even devoted a song to Trayvon Martin during one of his concerts and it's clear not only are the people speaking, but the big name media stars want justice just as much. And luckily, this is the perfect pressure Florida and other states need to abolish this obstructionist law. Meanwhile, there's Jennifer Carroll, the now former Lieutenant Governor of the state of Florida, who had to resign due to a scandal after Rick Scott's Administration schemed $300,000 out of Floridians for their 2014 campaign fund after lying to them in saying that it was going to help the veterans at a fake charity. She was named by Rick Scott as the new state attorney to review the Stand Your Ground law when it was up for inspection. Not biased at all, huh? Well, of course, as the Republican she was, decided as the leader of this "task force" committee to keep the law in place and this decision took place 3 weeks before she had to resign as Lt. Governor in March, 2013. Democratic Minority Leader of the FL state senate, Chris Smith, then decided to make known his own task force after Carroll denied him from participating in her so-called "bi-partisan" task force and unlike Carroll, Smith and the others on his committee are being fair to both sides and considering the pros and cons of the Stand Your Ground law. This law is an abomination and is resulting in a statewide boycott which is being heard nationally and nobody should have to stand for it. As stated by the National District Attorneys Association, the laws emerged because of, "diminished sense of public safety", that the due process clause trumps victims' rights, and there was a lack of faith in the criminal justice system to protect victims' rights. And those "hypothetical" reasons did exactly the opposite of what they had hoped. The Republicans thought there would be a decrease in robbery, burglary, and aggravated assault, but really, it increased by 8% in murders. That stat is alarming and it should prove who's right in this argument; the argument for justice and an end to racism.

"Is this who we are?" This was a quote a few months back from President Obama pertaining to the force-feeding of prisoners on Guantanamo Bay. Well, interestingly enough, he's exactly right. In California just yesterday, 30,000 prisoners being held in solitary confinement have refused eating any of their meals while 2,300 of them have also refused to go to work or any prison classes. It's being organized by a group of inmates in the "X" area of Pelican Bay State Prison by the Oregon border and state that they shouldn't have to endure confinement due to all of the prison gangs in the other, more free parts of these prisons. They are calling for these state officials to basically improve nutrition, create programs for those in solitary confinement, and end long-term solitary confinement. Stats show California currently has over 10,000 prisoners in their prisons in solitary confinement with several of them having spent more than 2 decades in them. However, despite these large-scale protests, the correction department won't recognize these hunger strikes for another 9 days which is not only stubborn, but also life threatening and homicidal by the state of California. Meanwhile, in Guantanamo Bay, it's worse. There's currently 120 detainees on hunger strike at Guantanamo. Instead of letting a strike pursue there for protests of better conditions, the "ever so great, life saving" U.S. military is intervening and is forcefully feeding more than 1/3rd of these prisoners (44) which is not only demeaning and embarrassing, but also just a sickening procedure. They claim it's for their "medical well-being", but seriously? It's for their medical well being that they get tied to these chains and eventually to a chair treated like they're a nobody and subsequently get forcefully fed through their nostrils of all things against their will. It's carried about 2 times per day per prisoner and takes about 2 hours. When the dignity of these innocent prisoners being held here on Guantanamo is taken away, then the respect for the U.S. military allowing this to happen and carrying out these actions is at an absolute zero. President Obama, as Commander in Chief, has the opportunity to issue an end to this and I have no doubt in my mind he'll do the right thing especially since Obama was the same person who tried closing down Guantanamo in the first place.
There's some big breaking news, but bad ones at that. On Thursday surrounded by all of his top officials, Texas Governor Rick Perry signed the anti-abortion bill that will close down 37 of the 42 Texas abortion clinics, dictates when abortion pills are taken and bans abortion after 20 weeks. It was passed mostly along party lines 96-49 in the Texas House of Representatives the 2nd time and passed the Texas Senate 19-11. And btw, the Texas Capitol Building protests were a bit.....interesting; and weird. Protesters tried bringing several jars of poop and urine into the chamber while the vote was going on and the even weirder thing is, after officials snatched these jars from people trying to enter with them, they let them in anyways after they found that they were carrying poop. What they had planned to do with it......I don't want to know because it might have ended up with a bit of a "shitty" GOP Texas Senate if you get my drift. The bill, proposed by state rep. Jodie Ann Laubenberg (R), is being completely ignorant though because she doesn't even understand the basic fundamentals of abortion especially how rape kits work and the proceedings following a woman being raped. She claims it will "clean out" or "unrape" a rape victim "basically like dilation and curettage" even though that has NOTHING to do with rape kits because a rape kit is used to collect forensic samples from a rape victims body to be used in prosecution. And let's just keep in mind again this is a lawmaker in Texas who proposed this bill. She's blonde, but that's still no excuse for her incompetence. The ban would only have exceptions under the case that the woman was in imminent danger of death. Rep. Senfronia Thompson (D) issued a proposal that would have allowed abortions after 20 weeks in the cases of rape and incest, but Laubenberg also refused that. Laubenberg claims this bill will help protect a women's healthcare with better services and helps them realize it's an unborn child. She couldn't be anymore wrong about that because a child is not declared a breathing, survivable child until 24 weeks, not 20, but 24 weeks after the pregnancy according to the upheld Roe v. Wade decision. When Perry signed this into law, he said that this bill would now promote life and women's health. Both of which are also incorrect because Perry is continuing to execute people on a regular basis rather than just making the maximum a life sentence and clearly, the intentional murdering that Perry claims is abortion is really not, and it's rather the fact that he goes before and allows full grown men and women to be killed. Oh, and to make it even worse, before Lawrence Russell Brewer was executed, there was something he did that resulted in pure arrogance from Texas state. Brewer, who was one of the assassins of James Byrd Jr. that had tied him to their truck and dragged him down a road while still alive and said in response that "I'd do it all over again", was allowed under Texas law to have one last meal of his choice before he died. He ordered 2 chicken fried steaks, a bowl of fried okra, 3 fajitas, a pound of BBQ, a triple meat bacon cheeseburger, a meat lover's pizza, a pint of ice cream, and peanut butter fudge with crushed peanuts which the authorities all gave him. He ended up not eating it and the meal was discarded, so as a result of one guy who was still being entirely racist and unforgiving about what he had done to James Byrd, Texas completely abolished the "last meal" wish after September of 2011 and that alone takes away all dignity, yet Governor Rick Perry can somehow find justice in saying that abortion is in no way okay, yet the murder of a living human being who can't even get a last meal wish is okay. And in this case, Perry's no better than Brewer! Perry essentially killed all of those Texans he signed off on to be killed in some demeaning and awful way, yet here Perry is not getting any jail time or anything because he's the "Texas God" of the whole state. And then I absolute refuse to even merit how Laubenberg's 20 week abortion bill somehow "protects the health of Texas women." Democratic state rep. Harold Dutton has proposed bill that would not put that abortion restriction bill passed recently would not go into effect for 60 days until after Texas Governor, Rick Perry, promises to abolish the death penalty to truly respect the meaning of the term "pro-life" which Perry claims he is. The last execution took place on June 26th and Rick Perry has oversaw more than 500 executions in the state. So I'm glad a Democrat from the Texas Minority is standing up and challenging Perry to this allegation, but knowing the Texas GOP, the bill will probably fail in house committee. And you can better believe Wendy Davis didn't get up in the Texas Senate for more than 10 hours just so the Texas GOP could continue to walk all over them. Nope. They're making sure this bill is challenged by the federal government and I sure as hell hope it's declared unconstitutional because it is. Texas is the 2nd largest state in the U.S. in terms of both area and population and that would result in Texas women, especially in the west, not even being able to seek abortions because all the abortion clinics around them will have closed! Rep. Sarah Davis (R), who was the only Texas House Republican to vote against this bill, quite possibly said it best in protest to it. She remarked, "No one wants to see abortions, it’s a terrible way to end a pregnancy, but it is a constitutionally protected right." Federal courts did rule that states could do what they want regarding it as long as it wasn't made to the extent where anyone couldn't obtain them, but these Republicans are clearly testing the federal courts. Wendy Davis and the Texas Senate Democratic caucus is promising to stand up for Texas women in the fight against these Texas GOP obstructionists and do whatever it takes to keep this bill from legally going into effect. Sarah Slamen, who protested before a Texas Senate Committee awhile back on behalf of Davis and the progressives, stated how the bill got through was a farce and the Texas Legislature was filled with a bunch of liars wherein she was then carried out by security because it was too much for them to handle. Perry manipulated the system when he brought the bill that failed up for a 2nd session even after all the tricks, stunts and tactics the Republicans used. However, Wendy Davis and the progressive Texas Democrats have promised to bring this up to the federal courts to decide and some parts, if not this entire bill, could be declared unconstitutional leaving Perry's and Laubenberg's hopes and wishes that they've longed for in flames. In Wisconsin just recently, Governor Scott Walker (R) just signed a bill requiring ultrasounds and shut down a few of only very little abortion clinics left in the state, but federal judge William Conley constituted the part of the bill that would require doctors who perform abortions to gain admitting privileges at local hospitals as temporarily unconstitutional and will be brought to determine whether it will be a permanent ban on July 17th. This means Perry and Laubenberg need to live outside of their little egotistical world for 2 seconds to realize that the federal government still has some power over what they do. And speaking of Governor's, former Arkansas Governor, Mike Huckabee (R), compared abortion to slavery in front of the Texas Capitol Building yesterday and former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum (R) who ran on a "birth control is not okay" platform last year, went down to Texas to support the bill as well during the protests. Thanks so much for your irrelevant opinions! The Texas Medical Association is calling this bill unnecessary, the Texas Hospital Association is calling it unnecessary, Wendy Davis considers it unnecessary, Sarah Davis considers it unnecessary, Sarah Slamen is calling it unnecessary, President of Planned Parenthood in Texas Cecile Richards considers it unnecessary, the Texas Democrats consider it unnecessary, and more importantly, as this bill becomes more and more well-known throughout the country and realize how the GOP is obstructing human rights all over.
And while I'm mentioning Texas, I might as well state the awesome news that the incumbent Republican Governor, Rick Perry, who is the longest serving Governor in Texas history, has announced he is not running for re-election in 2014. He first took the seat in December 2000 when then Governor of Texas, George W. Bush, resigned to take office as the (worst) President ever. In the most recent 2010 election, Perry defeated former Democratic Mayor of Houston, Bill White, in what was a quite hotly contested race, but Perry still managed to hold on. Polling going into this race shows Perry would have beaten potential Republican primary opponent, Attorney General Greg Abbott, by double digits 46-34 so there's no doubt Perry would have been re-elected. However, this opens the door to 2 huge questions: "Who will run for the Republican/Democratic nominations in the 2014 Texas gubernatorial race?" and "Will Perry make another run for the Presidency now in 2016?" When he leaves office on January 20th, 2015, he will have served 14 consecutive years in office (5,144 days) making him the 10th longest Governor in all of U.S. history. The Texas Governor's race though is now incredibly interesting because the Texas GOP is relying solely on Attorney General Greg Abbott to make this an almost guaranteed hold for the Republicans. Abbott is shown beating the most popular and potential name in the Democratic primary, state sen. Wendy Davis 48-40 and is also shown beating the Democratic Mayor of Houston, Annise Parker 50-31. So if Abbott runs, the seats almost automatically a GOP hold, but if he doesn't and the Texas Democratic Party can get Wendy Davis to run, expect this race to be a very possible tossup for a state that's 3/4ths Republican. The 2nd question I mentioned was Perry running for the Presidency. It seems like a waste of time to even mention because if he can forget what federal programs he would have abolished as President during that one debate, chances are he'll embarrass himself yet again and he won't even come close to winning the GOP primary. He hasn't stated whether or not he will be running for President in 2016 yet, but come on, it's already obvious. Why else would he resign as Governor? This just gives him a better opportunity and more time in his opinion to run his campaign platform to get to the White House. However, 3 reasons back up that he doesn't stand a chance no matter if he starts earlier than last time or not. First off, he would have to prove to conservative voters he's changed and he would be different from last time which I just don't see happening. Secondly, Perry's political inner circle loyalists have all dispersed and it would be hard getting them back. And most importantly, the GOP field in 2016 will be nothing like 2012. The top 2 Republican names in 2012 were Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum of all people! But 2016 will have Marco Rubio, Chris Christie, Jon Huntsman, and several other very popular Republicans around the country. It just won't happen. Gov. Perry has proved that he is not at all fit to be running a state, and he's certainly not fit to run a country.
Republicans in Michigan are outsourcing jobs overseas and as a result, 300,000 jobs were lost, yet Gov. Snyder is still expecting their people to pay the same tax rates while the city of Detroit is $18.5 billion dollars in debt and the state government of Michigan which is controlled completely by the GOP is refusing to pay back the debt they owe to the bankrupt populous city of Detroit. And the reason? That phrase the Republicans can't stand, labor unions. Man, 2014 is just not coming fast enough. We need a Democratic Governor in Mark Schauer and the Democrats need to take back the Michigan state legislature. The amount of help these Michigan Republicans have given to Detroit or even their capital of Lansing which is struggling with their deficit is basically nothing. There is no urban agenda to save some of these cities in Michigan either! If the Republican-controlled state will continue to not do shit for this growing problem, then it's the job of Obama and the federal government to take action. At least when Democrats used to be in power in Michigan, they cared about the poor and middle class and ensured there were fair wages for everyone and that they could pay their taxes on the valued agendas it was going towards. And of course who's being blamed for this whole mess? Democratic Mayor of Detroit, Dave Bing who actually has had zero mayoral power over the city since Kevyn Orr, Detroit's Emergency Manager, took control over all of Detroit's actions. So since the Republicans, like usual, are so incompetent to devise a plan rather than to hire Kevyn Orr who didn't do shit to help out Detroit, I'll be nice enough to create one for them myself. So first, let's outline the problem, 94% of black crimes are on other blacks, 86% of white crimes are on other whites, and 32% of blacks are likely to end up in prison while only 6% of whites. So while blacks are considered the "problem" for Detroit's or Compton's or Flint's or Newark's downfalls, it's really not the reason. These areas are just not getting enough financial support to survive and it doesn't help the fact that cities like these are decreasing in population which results in only more debt and a lack of productivity from industries in the areas. So simply what needs to be done, and trust me, Ed Schultz agrees on this, we first must improve public services by hiring more police and firefighters because Detroit just can't survive with all these robberies and rapes taking place all over. Then, we got to improve public education by hiring more teachers and building more schools around there because when people aren't educated, they do get themselves involved in crimes and other terrible, violent things. And what also needs to be done is Governor Rick Snyder and President Barack Obama must step in and supply state and federal funds to Detroit so they can pay off their huge debt and get some progress going already.

Under Ohio law, it allows some unusual marriages in the case that the marriage previously took place in some other state. For example, in the great state of New Hampshire, it's legal to marry starting at the age of 13 which is clearly not legal in Ohio. But say two 13 year old teenagers got married in NH, and they moved to Ohio, the marriage would be recognized under state law. Or for another instance, in South Carolina it's legal to marry your first cousin which is illegal in Ohio, but if two people who are first cousins get married in SC or some other state where that's legal, they can then move to Ohio where their marriage will get recognized. But not with same-sex marriages. Ohio currently has a full state ban on marriage equality here currently and while you can get federal benefits if a gay couple gets married anywhere in this state, you won't get any state benefits because Ohio basically says "Because you're of the same sex, you're not equal to any other married couple under our law." Well that nearly happened with a gay couple who got legally married and recognized by the state of Maryland who just recently moved back to Ohio where they're from and they had to sue Ohio so they could get the same rights as any other couple there. A federal judge by the name of Timothy Black ruled that Ohio had to recognize the same-sex marriage of John Arthur and Jim Obfergell. So this was phenomenal news as this couple got rightfully married and recognized here, but unfortunately one of them, John, was diagnosed with an incurable disease and could be near death within the coming weeks. However, despite that, this does not change the fact that John and Jim have been together for years and have always loved each other. Jim says John has always had a positive and friendly attitude and he's been a great spouse to be with. So in the end, Justice Antonin Scalia's prediction that the Supreme Court's overthrow of DOMA would still end up eventually giving all 50 states marriage equality, he is on the process of being right about that statement no matter how homophobic or a jackass Scalia is.

Discharge petition; needs 218 votes for majority and would need all 201 Dems. and at least 17 Repubs. Overthrows Speaker Boehner's power and allows vote on immigration bill. Boehner and the top Republican officials in the House had a meeting just yesterday in a basement in the Capitol Building and decided that they would not vote on the Senate bill, they would not revise their own approach to a new immigration bill, but Boehner said he still wants a way to confront the issue! The Democrats in Congress need to get off their lazy asses and take initiative on this petition and so many other things. There are enough moderate Republicans in the House for this to pass and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi could easily get all of the House Democrats to go for it, but we need action from them for it to happen and for a vote to happen on it against Boehner's or Cantor's wills! Essentially, just as if Harry Reid actually grew a pair in the Senate and issued the nuclear 51 vote option, the Democrats would have control of Congress basically here because the Democrats control the Senate and could easily get legislation passed there and there's enough moderate GOP guys in the House that turn against their Tea Party leadership that the Democrats in the House can work together with them to stop Boehner and his minority Tea Party guys. Because they have to keep in mind at this point, if this bill can get a vote in some form, it will only need 218 votes which Boehner is afraid of happening in such a case and immediately following that, it would go to President Obama's desk where he would sign it and officially create a path to citizenship for 11 million undocumented immigrants in this great country! Hell, even Scott Walker, the new Mr. Ultrasound, the Governor of Wisconsin, wants a path to citizenship for immigrants, and it can be connected easily back to background checks. 90% of Americans support background checks, 55% of Americans support stricter gun laws, and 51% believe undocumented immigrants deserve citizenship 5 years after applying. Most people want background checks, and most people want a path to citizenship and Boehner or McConnell shouldn't be the reason why they can't have any of those. Obama, though, still wants everyone to know that even though this bill is likely to fail in the House, he did all that he could to try and get comprehensive immigration reform passed. It just goes to show how much that gavel matters and the person who holds it. In the end though, El burro sabe más que el elefante.
Something interesting happened in Las Vegas, Nevada recently which could effect the GOPs future in the Silver State. Wayne Allyn Root, Executive Vice Chairman of The Conservative Caucus in Washington D.C., headlined the event who isn't known for much except his hundreds of Obama conspiracies. He believes Obama is a foreign exchange student who attended Columbia University based off his "gut instinct", that his Presidency is secretly illegitimate, claimed the IRS scandal which didn't even end up true was Obama's attempt to stop GOP donors and and destroy conservative coalitions, and of course, the ever so popular right-wing view that Obama is a "gay, Muslim, communist, murder Nazi who was born in Kenya, is the reason for Benghazi, the Boston Bombings, 9/11 blah blah blah." And a lot of that he stated on the ever so bi-partisan Fox News host Sean Hannity! It's a Red White & Blue Gala for this weekend in Las Vegas also headlined by House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy and Senator Dean Heller. Root is also headlining the Freedom Fest with CEO Joseph Farrah of World Net Daily and Senator Rand Paul also in Las Vegas just down the block. And speaking of Rqand Paul, everyone remember the Southern Avenger guy I mentioned before? Well, now GOP Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky is defending this guy whose real name is Jack Hunter after he said one of the stupidest things of all time that John Wilkes Booth did right in assassinating President Lincoln. It's also worth noting the Southern Avenger is a radio host who used to wear a mask with the Confederate Flag on it back from the 1860s Jefferson Davis days. Well, the reason Paul defended him was because he used to be Rand Paul's top aide and co-wrote Rand's 2010 book! And currently "The Southern Avenger" is his social media adviser over in DC. Clearly these guys are fucking idiots because Las Vegas is a completely Democratic area and Nevada as itself tends to be a purple, often tossup state. Because of these loons who do and say stuff like this, the Republicans probably stand no chance of ever turning Nevada red again especially because it has an increasing Latino population. Incumbent Republican U.S. Senator Dean Heller barely held on last year to his seat against Democrat Shelley Berkley while Wayne Allyn Root is planning to run against incumbent Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in 2016. Yet these obstructionists are leaning so far right and are so stupid that it could hurt their approvals and it could hurt their futures in their political careers. Even the Republican Governor of the state, Brian Sandoval, turned down an offer to attend either of these galas because he actually has a brain (partially) and realizes his political career could be in jeopardy if he attended those because he's up for re-election next year in a leaning Democratic state. The Tea Party will go down, and when they do, so does Dean Heller, Kevin McCarthy, or Rand Paul.

Some unfortunate news in regards to southern California and Akron, Ohio. Respectively, an 11 year old boy with autism went missing in the deserts of California the other day and just today, it's been reported right where I'm at around Northeast Ohio, a 12 year old boy with autism now has gone missing after having fell and flowed down a heavy stream near where his family was at.

Michele Bachmann suggests we spank the President in order for the Republicans to hold onto the House in 2014.
Well, she mentioned how Obama signed into law in 2009 the federal Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Hate Crimes Act and it's that reason for why Zimmerman could be faced with federal charges. And Shepard, of course, was the infamous gay man who was killed in a hate crime in Wyoming in 1998. And out of pure coincidence, James Byrd was an African American who was also murdered and his assassins were convicted when it went into effect. So in connection, James Byrd is to Trayvon as Byrd's assassins are to Zimmerman.

$ to poor ppl is socialism, $ to agribusinesses is awesome - GOP (Mike Grunwald) So in other words, how can we take the GOP seriously when they cut an entire federal program used to help give food to poor people. When the previous, less extreme, farm bill failed to pass through Boehner's GOP controlled House, those 62 Republicans didn't go against it because they thought it was sickening, nope. Instead, they thought it wasn't extreme enough and when this new bill came up that would cut SNAP completely, all but 12 Republicans voted for this bill with the whole House Democratic caucus going against it. It barely passed 216-208, but Obama has already threatened to veto it if it even makes it through the Democratic controlled Senate.
Statistician Nate Silver predicted Monday that the GOP will likely have 50 to 51 Senate seats after the 2014 midterm elections which could barely give the Republicans the majority. This shocking claim from the person who predicted almost the entire 2012 electoral map correctly, states this for a few reasons. His release statement comes after former popular Democratic Governor of Montana, Brian Schweitzer, announced he would not seek the Montana U.S. Senate seat of the retiring Democratic incumbent, Max Baucus, in 2014 which really kills any chances the Democrats have of holding onto this seat in a pretty conservative state. The Republicans are obviously not only very happy about Baucus' retirement, but Schweitzer's decision not to run because the GOP is still healing from their close lose last year when the other Democratic incumbent Senator, Jon Tester, beat the Republican Denny Rehberg by about only 18,000 votes. Assuming the Democrats pick up the Senate seat in New Jersey this year currently held by Republican Jeffrey Chiesa with Democrat Cory Booker, the Republicans would need 6 seats to take back their majority in the Senate which they haven't controlled since 2006. The Republicans tried doing the same thing in 2010, but failed and the Democrats held onto a razor-thick majority that year. The GOP thinks their path to those 6 switches is quite simple. Even though polling shows the Democratic nominees beating the 2 already declared Republicans, they think they could possibly get fmr. MT Gov. Marc Racicot or Rep. Steve Daines to run who would theoretically blow any Democrats out of the water. Then it's already a guarantee with Democrat Tim Johnson retiring in South Dakota and popular, former Republican Governor Mike Rounds running and the best potential Democrat Stephanie Herseth Sandlin opting out, it's a sure-win. And in West Virginia, Democratic incumbent Jay Rockefeller is retiring and very popular Republican Congresswoman, Shelley Moore Capito is running and is expected to win there. That's only 3 right there even giving them the benefit of the doubt with Montana and even now it's too early to say what's going to end up happening there. They think they have a good chance at unseating Democratic incumbent Mark Pryor in Arkansas, but realistically, that will only happen if Rep. Tom Cotton wins the primary down there. Then they say they could try for Louisiana and North Carolina, but those are really a long shot for them. The most recent polling shows Landrieu beating Rep. Bill Cassidy by 5 points and other potential GOP challengers by close to or more than double digits while in NC, Democratic incumbent Kay Hagan is shown beating all Republican challengers by double digits. As always, the key to which party reigns supreme in the midterms results primarily on candidate quality, the local factors, and how well the economy and Obama's approval rating looks. What Obama needs to avoid though is doing anything that could royally piss off a lot of people before the 2014 midterms because that happened in 2010 with the Affordable Care Act and in 2006 under Bush with the war in Iraq. And in all of the Senate races that took place between 2006 and 2012, in all of the tossups, in 3 of the elections the Democrats won a majority of the tossups while only in 1 the Republicans did. So really, it's not impossible, but very very hard for the Republicans to take back the Senate in 2014. And quite frankly, they're being a little to arrogant at this point because some of their top officials do believe it will be an easy ride to get that majority. But being completely bi-partisan here, the chances the Republicans have of taking back the Senate are as great as the Democrats have at taking back the House of Representatives.
Glass Steagall Act (McCain, Cantwell, Warren), repealed by GOP Senate 90-8 and Clinton in 1999. 21st Century Glass-Steagall Act introduced by McCain that would break up mega-banks. Warren says if you don't fight for it, the chances are zero even though the odds are already against them getting the 60 votes it needs or let alone pass in the GOP controlled House. Wall Street has bet against Warren before on issues like this and lost.
Marco Rubio
George W. Bush in the 2000 Election decided to leave the job of finding a VP candidate for him to his fathers former Defense Secretary, Dick Cheney. And who did Cheney pick for the job? Himself! Just like when he chose himself to do Bush's job when both of them got elected! But initially, it appeared Cheney didn't know what the Constitution said so Dick Cheney changed his voter registration to Teton County, Wyoming 4 days before he took the liberty of announcing himself as Bush's running mate, no if and's or buts. So there was a residency scandal and shortly after the controversial election, he sold his house in Dallas for $3.1 million. Liz Cheney running for the Wyoming U.S. Senate against 4 term incumbent Mike Enzi. Well guess what, Cheney isn't from Wyoming either! Just like daddy, she's going to change her voter registration from DC where she resides to Wyoming so she can run against Republican Mike Enzi who has already announced he's running for another term. Yep. Lizzy NEVER lived in the state of Wyoming and she now thinks she deserves one of the 2 Senate seats there even though she stands zero chance against a popular GOP incumbent. In fact, Lizzy's a liar to! She said she wouldn't run for that seat if Enzi decided to run another term and even though Enzi already announced he's running, Lizzy's still running anyways. Enzi had apparently thought he was friends with Liz Cheney, but when a seat in politics is up and the name "Cheney" is mentioned, expect a different side from them. This is a shameless act by Elizabeth Cheney and she's only doing this to please her daddy who used to be a U.S. Congressman from Wyoming back in the 1980s. Hell, Rand Paul had even wondered when Cheney announced her Senate run if she would run against Democratic incumbent Mark Warner in her actual homestate of Virginia! How if Elizabeth Cheney beats incumbent Republican Mike Enzi in Wyoming in the GOP primary, how these moderate Republican states could get taken over as well from this neocon era happening. And daddy's helping her fund this campaign that even though they want huge suspense on, is really going to get little to none from its voters because Wyoming is statistically the smallest state in terms of population in the whole country. She said she'll out-Obama hate Enzi to try and win the primary and get the grassroots support behind her. Plus Lizzy Cheney believes that the Senate Republicans currently led by Mitch McConnell are awful because she thinks it's terrible that they're agreeing with the ruling Democratic Party. And Enzi also has a 63% approval rating and given that he's a 3 term incumbent seeking a fourth term, that benefits him very highly. Enzi is the 8th most conservative Republican in the U.S. Senate, but that doesn't seem to be good enough for some people including the Cheney's. Only 31% of voters in the state consider Cheney a native of Wyoming and new polling shows Enzi beating Liz Cheney in the primary by 28 points, 54-26, so Cheney isn't making a big effect like she had hoped. Interestingly enough, recent data shows that if Cheney beat Enzi in the primary and former Democratic Governor of Wyoming, Dave Freudenthal, decided to run, the Democrats would pick up the seat 45-42. However, the likelihood of Cheney winning the GOP primary seems very unlikely right now and Freudenthal might decide to run for Governor again instead in 2014, but a lot can change in the next 15 months. So yes, Wyoming is by far one of the most conservative states in the nation, but they know they can do better than electing another Cheney. In addition to this hot-headed mess, one of the most idiotic scandals is coming out against Liz Cheney. She claimed that she has been a 10 year resident of Wyoming, but was really only an official resident there for 72 days. Any why is the state of Wyoming pissed? Over a fishing license! A resident of the state only has to pay $24 for a license to fish while a nonresident one is $92. Now she's under investigation for this fishing license OVER $68! Furthermore, only 31% of Wyoming voters consider her a "Wyomingite." In response to the Star Tribune of Casper, Wyoming, she blamed the clerk who accepted her candidacy for this whole mess. So here's a 2 sided battle now between a rich lawyer from out of state who says she's a true Wyomingite to this clerk who's a dedicated worker from their state. Who will they believe over this? It's pretty clear at this point.

She didn't even want to take the stand in the first place! Although she found the courage to do it even through all the hate she got from it especially from the defense. Zimmerman didn't even testify in the first place and pretended like, "Oh, I didn't do nothing!" while Rachel Jeantal was just getting abused at the stand even though she knew what she was doing with her great valiance and still got treated as someone who was guilty. Pennsylvania Republicans are trying to push out their own GOP Governor, Tom Corbett! Of course, Corbett is very hated for his strong dislike and abuse against women and Latinos in the state. According to the most recent poll by Harper, Corbett is the King when it comes to failing Tea Party Governor's because he has an awful 24% approval rating down from the 33% that PPP reported him having in March. One of the main reasons is because Pennsylvanians are realizing what him and their GOP controlled legislature pushed through which was a voter ID restriction that would require photo ID at the polls. Robert Gleason, the Chairman of the Pennsylvania GOP, reason for this was not to make progress in keeping voter fraud out of the state as he claimed because there was no voter fraud! It's just another attempt to keep Democrats from voting and keeping Republicans in but mainly used to try and help Romney carry the state which of course, failed. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court is currently hearing arguments now on whether or not this law is unconstitutional and is just an attempt to help Pennsylvania Republicans continue to win elections. More than 500,000 Pennsylvanians would be disenfranchised from this. They claimed at first the voter ID law was all about integrity while they were being hold in contempt on trial. But then they admitted that they lied live on camera that this law was created on the sole purpose of getting Corbett re-elected and keeping the Republicans in control of their state legislature still.

Damn, it's been hot up here lately in the Buckeye State. It's been so hot that Mother Nature has a lower approval rating than Congress! Although I shouldn't be bashing them completely.....I mean their approval did just recently rise by 2 points to 12%. Way to go guys! Job well done! Now only about 3/25ths of Americans like you instead of the original 1/10th! But now seriously, some records have been set with the latest July polls. This 12% approval marks a tie for the lowest approval rating Congress has ever had since the 1990s while they set a record in the highest disapproval rating ever; 83%. Meanwhile, Obama's also made some unfortunate history because his approval rating is now only at 45% which hasn't been that low since August of 2011. Although the Presidency isn't up in 2014, how well the American people approve of the job Obama is doing is vital in which party gets the major wins next year.
The main 2013 U.S. elections aren't being held for awhile, but let me say this. The recent polling out of New Jersey shows the incumbent Republican Governor Chris Christie beating the Democratic challenger Barbara Buono 61-29 which is a significant and surprising margin especially for a state that's as Democratic as it is. Unless you know this. Democratic President Barack Obama met with Chris Christie about 1 1/2 months ago and they created what the media calls a "bromance." In other words, the 2 of them enjoyed each others company, made a few laughs, played a game of "Touchdown Fever" which Christie won, and has worked alongside Obama to help with relieving the devastation of the storm last year. People may have thought little of it, but given that Christie is a Republican and Obama is a Democrat, New Jersians, mostly the Obama electorate, joined in the campaign of approving of the job Christie is doing and endorsing him again. As a result, Christie's approval jumped from the mid 50's when at the time he wasn't guaranteed re-election to a blowout jump up to 70% that approved of his job which now solidifies his re-election as Governor of New Jersey. Obama ended up beating Romney in 2012 by 17 points and because of this confrontation between him and Christie, 42% of Obama voters said they will vote for Christie over Buono and now 41% of Republicans, 40% of Democrats, and 45% of Independents support the Governor. As a result of the "bipartisan bromance", Christie is not only a lock for winning this year, but polling shows a very tight race in 2016 if he went up against Democrat Hillary Clinton and that Obama voting block could be crucial. However, Obama meeting with him could end up being a VERY good thing for 2016. While there are a lot of Dems. and Repubs. in New Jersey who like Christie, other Republicans in states like Texas, Mississippi, or Alabama would say otherwise because there are tons of Republicans out there who can't stand Obama and can't stand the fact of seeing there Republican nominee for President enjoying Obama's company on the Jersey shore. Plus, the Tea Party will do whatever it takes to try to get one of their loons like Paul Ryan or Rand Paul to win the GOP primary because when it comes to a national election, Republicans go for most conservative while Democrats go most liberal while in statewide elections like that of Christie, they will base it off of merit and the well-being of their state. So did Obama mess up any chance state sen. Barbara Buono has at beating Christie this year? Yes, but it could very well be one of the reasons for why the Democrats hold onto the Presidency in 2016.
What's quite possibly the most pathetic thing done by the new, extreme GOP is their utter ignorance and refusal to expand Obamacare and even Medicaid in several states. Florida, Georgia, SC, NC, Virginia, Maine, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Alaska, Utah, and Wisconsin are all blocking Medicaid expansion; 21 states. It could also end up being opted out of in Tennessee, Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, and here in Ohio all where debates on it are currently taking place on it. Even though the federal government currently pays for the entire 100% of the health care program designed for poor citizens, obstructionist Governor's like Bobby Jindal, Scott Walker, or Pat McCrory and several GOP controlled state legislatures are the reason for why millions of people state by state won't receive coverage. And these states won't have to start paying into it until 2020 when the federal government will reduce their subsidy to 90% which even then is nothing for the states to pay. By 2016, the 21 states (and quite possibly soon to be more) will lose $8.4 billion in federal payments for the program a year. So as a result, those making incomes below the poverty line will be completely stranded because under the Affordable Care Act, the way they get insured for Medicare is after you're covered through Medicaid coverage. Just right now, 11.5 million people are uninsured because of these GOP states who have opted out and they're mostly young, poor adults. Even just recently, President Obama has just made it easier to fund these programs because he pushed back the requirement for employers to provide coverage until 2015 so that they have time. Yet, as Reverend Al Sharpton put it, the GOP doesn't care as usual and have an "absolute disregard for this crisis." These states are completely throwing away federal money and it's awful to know that they could careless if the people who need health care coverage the most get it or not. I think these Republicans need a history lesson and I'm happy to give it to them. Before the Affordable Care Act was implemented in 2010, you could be denied coverage for pre-existing conditions, you could be kicked off your parent's plan at 19, you could be charged more for being a woman, you could have faced arbitrary rate hikes, your plan could have excluded very important things like prescriptions for drugs, and certain limits were put on your health care spending. But now with Obamacare in effect, you can't get dropped from coverage when you're sick even for extended periods, you're exempt from medical costs by out of pocket spending limits, you automatically get several preventive health services covered without copay, insurance companies are required to cover even more areas of care, you get more benefits like maternity care, they can't discriminate against you based on gender or any pre-existing conditions, and quite possibly most important, we can stay on our parent's plans until age 26 which benefits 6.6 million young adults. And yet, Boehner's House has attempted to repeal Obamacare 39 TIMES and he plans to pass it through the House a 40th time, just relentless even though he thinks the bill can just magically get through the Democratic controlled Senate and magically get signed on the President's desk. Also under Obamacare, ONLY 3% of young adults are affected by premium increases because about 48% are covered through employer based health insurance, 28% who are uninsured will NOT have premium increases, 14% are young adults enrolled in Medicaid or Medicare who won't be affected, and 7% are young adults who make 250% below the federal poverty level who will receive substantial financial assistance. The main reason a lot of Republicans hate Obamacare is because of the 80/20 Medical Loss Ratio which requires insurance companies to spend at least 80% or 80 cents of every premium dollar of the federal money they get on the medical needs of their employees. They must also spend 85% of it on care and quality improvement. If that's not fulfilled, then under the Affordable Care Act, insurance companies must give rebate checks to their insured workers. They must refund $1.1 billion in premiums to 12.8 million people by August 1st. And the massive problem coming out of all of this is that 83% of young adults in states that are not expanding Medicaid are no longer on their parent's plans as a result which means more than 4/5ths of young adults in GOP led states are uninsured and can't receive health care because of Rick Perry, Nathan Deal, Butch Otter, Sam Brownback and so many others. Democrats are trying to fight against this and are attempting to get major NFL football players to star in commercials promoting all of the benefits to quality, health care. And in response to this, the Republicans in the House of Representatives are going to go back to their districts and proclaim there's an "Emergency"; a health care emergency that they're all going to call a town hall meeting for. On top of that, Boehner and Cantor are sending these 234 House Republicans home with a health care planning kit telling them what to do while Congress is convened. So when did Boehner become a teacher? It starts off by saying convene an emergency town hall meeting where you talk about the negative effects of Obamacare and how they don't like it. It also says to stress that it's an emergency and to basically scare senior citizens out of it. However, under RomneyCare in Massachusetts, it insured 98% of the people there. Mitt Romney then last year was this guy who was getting praised all over by the neoconservatives saying "Yay! He's going to repeal Obamacare." But, Romney did the exact same thing Democrats are doing now. Romney passed health care into law as Governor and got Boston Red Sox star, Tim Wakefield, to promote it. So when a Republican does it, it's fine, but when it's done by a Democrat, the GOP considers it a national travesty? Really? And then there's the Senate response to this led by Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell, and Senate Minority Whip, John Cornyn who wrote a threatening letter to the NFL Commissioner "risking its brand" for promoting the "damaging" Obamacare. As a result to McConnell's letter, the NFL opted out of the Democratic proposition mainly because they're scared of lemon face despite that McConnell has very slim chances right now of being re-elected in 2014. NFL spokesman, Greg Aiello, said they did not intend to assist the Democrats with this. Funny. So the NFL isn't intimated by these 400 lbs. guys who work for them, yet when you mention some irrelevant guy from Kentucky who has no say over the NFL especially since his party is in the minority, they start shivering. McConnell and Cornyn also sent the same letter to the MLB and a handful of other sports organizations not named. So the Republicans have officially torpedoed this effort made by the Democrats. But only in that genre. The Democrats have been successful in reaching out to celebrities to help them with this including Jon Bon Jovi, Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Hudson, and Alicia Keys who are now going to help promote Obamacare. Mike Farah who starred in "The Landlord" on Will Ferrell's Funny or Die also said something pretty hilarious because he said if he gets that same threatening letter from McConnell, he'll frame it in his office and he would be proud of the threat! Republicans can do all they want, but Democrats will always succeed in the end. But with that said, let's all keep in mind there's now millions of uninsured Americans because our ever so wonderful Republican controlled Supreme Court which elected George W. Bush to the office of President decided to allow states to decide whether Medicaid is expanded in their states or not. Haslam, Snyder, Corbett and even Kasich are prepared to do this to so basically, half of the states in the country are just refusing to use currently free federal money just because their all to lazy to understand the other side of the argument and realize what they're doing do our citizens.
Now I'd like to talk about something that's a bit more personal and in fact effects some of you to. Because Congress refused to act (specifically Boehner's House of Representatives), student loan rates doubled from 3.4% to 6.8% which now means about 7 million of U.S. students are going to have to settle for local, community college instead of going to an on-campus university only because the GOP was too ignorant as usual to make sure federal Stafford loans didn't increase anymore than they did. And what's pathetic is banks barely pay any interest for loans (below 1%), even though they can afford higher interest rates than that; college students and their families can't. So pretty much, as a result of this, students who takeout Stafford loans should expect to pay an extra $3,000 to a $23,000 loan over a period of 10 years. It's hard enough as is for people from say a decade ago to pay off all their student loans especially if they go to medical school or pursue something else that's incredibly expensive. The best the House did in passing legislation regarding this was a bill that would not have decreased rates, but INCREASED them. The House GOP passed the Smarter Solutions for Students Act on May 23rd which would have reset the student loan rates based on the rates of the U.S. Treasury.
But Bernie Sanders, a Independent from Vermont, is saying this is still not good enough and I agree. It's not good enough filibuster reform because there's still no voting or even debates on things that are at huge problems right now like high unemployment, a widening gap between the wealthy and poor, no action on background checks or climate change, and so many other things because Harry Reid still insists on being a pussy and not overpowering McConnell's minority power in the Senate. Reid, as Senate Majority Leader, has the power to issue the nuclear, simple majority option for all things including legislation to, but instead Reid just invoked yet another deal with McConnell which they're going to break again! It says the Republicans have to stop filibustering the executive nominees like Richard Cordray and in return the Republicans will get 2 nominees for the NLRB.

The Retarded Republican of the day is none other than Rush Limbaugh; the same guy who said about President Barack Obama "I hope he fails" and even created Christmas songs devoted to and demeaning him. Well it's obvious Limbaugh is a racist piece of shit, but after Obama was heard saying comments recently that "Trayvon Martin was me 35 years ago" and "If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon", Limbaugh hasn't stopped. In remarks to Obama's comments, he denies Obama was anything like Trayvon at that point because Trayvon was basically "another Tsarnaev" while Obama was supposedly doing whatever he did. And because of this, Limbaugh said Obama is dishonest and irresponsible. Limbaugh said recently that Caucasian whites should not have guilt about slavery because they have had fewer slaves for a shorter amount of time than anyone and connects it back to the Civil War where mostly proud white people fought for the freedom blacks have today he says. And of course Limbaugh, those anti-abolitionist Caucasians in the South are completely irrelevant from the Civil War matter, right Rush? Oh, and the fact that most blacks were still being held captive in the South in the early 1860s doesn't matter either, right? Otherwise, I can guarantee if those African American slaves weren't being held hostage, they would have made a profound effect on the war and of course, Limbaugh refuses to recognize that because he's an obese, idiotic bigot. Any why stop there? On another broadcast of Limbaugh's Looney Tunes, he called a woman health advocate who was studying law at Georgetown University a "slut." And that's solely because this woman named Sandra Fluke went before a Democratic panel and said that more birth control needed to be funded to help her financially by Obama. And as a result, just because she was asking for more funding towards birth control, Limbaugh classified her as a "slut." Limbaugh decided to change his mind then and said she wasn't a slut, but rather "round-heeled." And just for the record, a slut and round-heeled have the same meaning so he clearly doesn't know his vocabulary. Meanwhile, he praised the extremist conservative Liz Cheney on his show and said she was "Republican royalty" and that she was one of the "greatest contributions" to the country. He proceeded to say her announcement to run for Wyoming Senate against Mike Enzi was "momentous" and that "more people like her are needed" giving the numbers 95 or 51. ..........I'm just speechless on that. The only thing I'll say is that Dick Cheney, the daughter of Liz, was the one who thought the friend he was hunting with was a quail and he shot him 3 times. Let's also please keep in mind that the Cheney's, the family that Limbaugh admires so much and we need multiples of.....one of them is named Mary Cheney, the other daughter and she's a lesbian. And in response to same-sex marriage supporters and LGBT people at large, Limbaugh said "It proves that we are up against people who don't give a damn about the rule of law, or about decency, or about decorum." So let me get this straight, Limbaugh just can't get enough of Liz Cheney, but when it comes to Mary Cheney, her own, openly lesbian sibling, he thinks the likes of Mary or myself lack decency or for that matter self-respect? Round of applause for Limbaugh everyone! Please give this fatass, homophobic son of a bitch a round of applause because that is the most ignorant shit I have ever heard come out of that man's mouth. Limbaugh has claimed over time that he's "ashamed" of the United States. Well, I think it's safe to say all the sponsors and listeners he's lost and everyone else who believes in dignity and respect for everyone, then we are ashamed in you Limbaugh, so you have no right to talk. Save yourself the embarrassment: Pack your bags, cancel your radio show, flee to Russia where your favorite capitalist, authoritarian views are, and then go be retarded Republican there. They'll be happy to have you.
It's also time for a new segment to coincide with this called Dumbass Democrats! Now even though I am a member of the Ohio Democratic Party and I consider myself very liberal, there are still a lot of dreadful Democrats out there that think they aren't a disgrace as is to the party. Today, we're starting off with Tammy Duckworth, who is a Democratic U.S. Representative from the 8th District of Illinois. So about a month ago, Rep. Duckworth spoke at a House Oversight Committee and verbally attacked an IRS contractor. She was pissed that he was using his military disability status to get government contracts which are for disabled veterans, but the catch is, according to Duckworth this IRS contractor named Braulio Castillo isn't a disabled veteran! Mr. Castillo broke his foot while in training at U.S. Military Prep School and technically, that classifies still as a sustained injury that he got while serving the country. Duckworth didn't think so and considered the injury that had been bothering Mr. Castillo for the past 4 decades was a joke and all Duckworth could think about was herself because her injuries happened to be much larger than his, but the point is, they still fought for the United States of America. She had the audacity to say that what Mr. Castillo had done was "shame" and thought he broke a law by "lying" to the Small Business Administration (SBA) and broke the "trust of veterans" and their "faith." She claimed he was "gaming the system" and continued to bash him by saying he didn't play through the pain of "real heroes" and even went as far as to disrespect his own children. So, where to start? Duckworth said Mr. Castillo was "taking advantage of the system", but that sort of reminds me of how Duckworth won that House seat in Illinois to begin with! She kept on using her military service and the fact that both her legs got blown off and could no longer use her right arm as her undermining way to win the Democratic primary against former Deputy Treasurer of Illinois, Raja Krishnamoorthi, and eventually defeat the one-term Republican incumbent Congressman, Joe Walsh. She beat Walsh by 10 points on November 6th, 2012, but not before Walsh said something that sparked a lot of heat because Walsh was not afraid to challenge Duckworth on some of her deceiving tactics. Joe Walsh is quoted as saying, "my God, that's all she talks about. Our true heroes, the men and women who served us, it's the last thing in the world they talk about." And Walsh was bringing up a great point about how Duckworth did nothing but gloat the whole time about how she served in the Iraq War and not only did she use that to her advantage, but she was already in a Democratic leaning district and completely cheated her opponent out of his House seat. So now here's Duckworth now in Congress telling Mr. Castillo the exact same thing Joe Walsh had said about Duckworth. So it appears I just caught Duckworth in an act of absolute hypocrisy. Basically, Duckworth says Mr. Castillo can't use his injury he sustained from the military to get disability benefits and calls it shameful, yet Duckworth can use her injuries she got to win a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. That makes Duckworth arrogant and deceitful in every way and I hope to God she loses in the Democratic primary in 2014 to someone more respectable and honest. But if she does win the primary, I'm hoping Republican Joe Walsh runs because I'd love to see nothing more than to see Walsh show this woman some damn respect and maybe even unseat her. She wants everyone to feel sorry for her and if she won't give any respect to her fellow injured veterans, then she doesn't deserve any respect or recognition either. Republican pickup or not, it's still better either way than Tammy Duckworth, the dumbass Democrat.

McConnell tried to make love to the Tea Party, but Bevin, a businessman who is a Tea Party supporter, plans to challenge the incumbent Minority Leader in the GOP primary in 2014. 1276 days left of Obama's term - Had a speech on the middle class/economy today which highlighted raising the minimum wage. Woman who burned her hands at KFC returned to work working 60 hours overtime and still doesn't have enough to pay her bills. 80% of Americans approve of raising minimum wage to $10.10 an hour. It hasn't kept up with inflation because of the rise in goods and hasn't kept up with productivity either. Senator Elizabeth Warren mentioned how if productivity coincided with a living wage, it would be at $22 right now, but it's at $7.25 now federally. So where's that other nearly $15? A majority of Republicans not only think the minimum wage should be increased, but think we should abolish the concept of a minimum wage itself. For instance, in Detroit, Michigan Republicans could pay their workers $3 or $4 an hour and they'd be fine with it. Just to prove this point wrong, $8.60 is the minimum wage in Vermont which is the 3rd highest nationally and unemployment is the 4th lowest in the whole country. Not even employers up there are pissed about that minimum wage price, yet we have Republicans who not only want to keep the minimum wage stuck at $7.25, but some who want it LOWER than that such as in Georgia where it's only $5.45 an hour.

Boehner and Cantor of all people found Steve King's statements "inexcusable" and could get a point across without hateful language. Deport Dreamers, King Iowa Amendment which was approved of by Cantor himself and passed in the House! So how could the House Republican leadership separate themselves from King when they were the same ones who voted for the amendment that basically coincided with King's comments? I can tell you. Because simply put, the Republicans really don't support comprehensive immigration reform but they want to make Latinos and other immigrants THINK that.
Out of the shadows - Amash Amendment barring NSA from collecting phone records. Had bi-partisan support, but failed by only 12 votes, 217-205. A majority of House Democrats voted in favor of it while a majority of House Republicans went against it. And shockingly enough, the White House was against it and Obama even agreed with Bachmann on this issue that the bill should not be passed. 56% of Americans say the government will go too far to sneak up on their privacy over surveillance while 36% say the government won't go far enough.

Russian President, Vladimir Putin, recently signed very controversial bills that will do some of the must obscene stuff ever. Attorney General Eric Holder says Texas' new voter ID restriction bill will be brought under consideration by a federal court on whether or not it is unconstitutional. If it goes into effect, it will primarily keep the Texas Latino and Hispanic electorate from voting which of course is another attempt to try to rig the elections for their Republicans. In response to Holder's comments, Governor Rick Perry and Texas Attorney General, Greg Abbott, are challenging him which is no surprise since Texas always loves a fight with the federal government. Rep. John Lewis (D) of Georgia, stated the Supreme Court's decision "Put a dagger in heart of Voting Rights Act" and man is he right. 800,000 people will not have the correct IDs to vote in Texas now including 10.8% of Hispanics and 4.9% of whites which is a pure, discriminatory attempt to keep the GOP not only in control in Texas, but elsewhere like in Florida, North Carolina, Mississippi, and Alabama. Greg Abbott said this law would go into effect "immediately." The funny thing is, it's these Texas Republicans who think they're getting attacked and not the ones who are attacking. Perry and Abbott are going after the Obama Administration for "trying to control their elections."

However, a study shown by MSNBC's Ed Schultz shows 3 in every 4 NFL players own some type of gun, yet the NFL is taking no action on this statistic whatsoever. Also, the Democrats were looking out to NFL officials to get some of their players to go on commercials endorsing Obamacare, but because of Boehner sending his House Republicans back home to say there's an "Emergency!" and "Obamacare is bad in every way" and because Mitch McConnell and John Cornyn in the Senate have sent a "threatening" letter to the NFL, have opted out of Obama's deal. So basically, when you put the puzzle pieces together here, here's the National Football League who has these violent, big, threatening guys working for them all across the country and they're not scared in the least. But when one guy from Kentucky who has zero power over them since he's the Senate Minority Leader sent a letter saying they were "risking its brand" to them, they become Sir Lemon Face's lackey's because they caved into the Tea Party rather than doing the right thing. 45% of Kentuckians approve of the job Republican Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell, is doing while a majority, 58%, disapprove of him. Even more, 40% say they definitely want to re-elect McConnell while another majority 60% of Kentuckians say they could or will vote for another candidate other than McConnell come 2014. Matthew Bevin, a businessman who's currently McConnell's biggest challenger in the primary, is blaming McConnell for working with Obama too much! So Bevin, when has McConnell EVER cooperated or coexisted with Obama? He also claims McConnell's been in the Senate for far too long which could be a factor in the tension between these 2 going up until November 2014. Then, there's the top Democratic challenger, Kentucky Secretary of State, Alison Lundergan Grimes, who could very well unseat McConnell if he beats Bevin. She's the top challenger McConnell could have drawn and that's his own fault because he went after Grimes from the start rather than going on someone he had a better chance of beating like Ben Chandler or even Ashley Judd at one point. The amazing thing about this whole thing is that McConnell is supposed to be the LEADER of his party in the U.S. Senate, yet he is in no way an effective one. This is 1 of only 2 Senate races Democrats can put on the offensive and even getting revenge for a decade ago when the Republicans unseated the former Democratic Minority Leader, Tom Daschle, of South Dakota. The recent polls out of Kentucky show McConnell
"Hey Pat, that was rude! You wouldn't give cookies to a dude!" What happened was Pat McCrory walked out and gave a plate of cookies from the Governor's Mansion and thought that would make up for breaking his promise and closing almost all of the state's abortion clinics taking away a women's rights by simply giving them some baked goods. Obviously, the protesters clearly won't cave in that easily to believe that would dwell all of them way and they put the plate of uneaten cookies back by the Governor's gate with a note saying, "Pat McCrory, we'll take women's health over cookies." This will drive up the costs to try and get abortions in the state, it will certainly make it harder to get them since there will only be one left because the other 15 abortion clinics aren't "up to high, clean and quality enough standards", and
Rand Paul says Christie is all about "gimme gimme gimme all the time." New Jersey was actually asking for its own money back though! For every dollar New Jersey send to the federal government, they only get 77 cents, while Kentucky where Rand Paul is from, his state gets $1.57 for every dollar they give to Washington D.C. But Christie is also wrong because he used the older numbers so he could just feel he was more right than necessary saying in a response to Paul that they only got 61 cents for each dollar NJ sent which is entirely untrue now. New Jersey also pays $71,180 to the U.S. Treasury overall in the median while Kentucky only pays $42,248 and states like Illinois, Ohio, Virginia, Nebraska, Minnesota or Texas are stuck paying most of the bills. Rand Paul ultimately ended up admitting he was wrong and said he wanted to return the favor by way of a "kiss and make up." Christie responded by saying "I'm running for re-election in New Jersey and I really don't have time for that at the moment." So although Christie ended up winning this fight, he didn't win the war. You see, not only did Rand Paul completely own Christie by saying in the whole fight that he was the "King of Bacon", but he also proved Christie wrong in the sense that the states of New Hampshire, Iowa, Florida, and South Carolina will give Christie hell come 2016. He says also in a Paul vs. Clinton match-up in 2016 that "It's gonna be a tough choice" and he is actually leaning towards supporting Hillary! This is in part to the fact that he has leaned much farther right than his father, Ron Paul, ever did.

30,000 military votes overseas - 2000 election Florida. People often blame Bush winning the biased election either on Jeb Bush, the U.S. Supreme Court overruling the recount decision made by the Florida Supreme Court, the flaws of the electoral college system, Al Gore having won the popular vote, or maybe even senior citizens, but I have another great reason that isn't mentioned as much as these. So of course, Gore lost Florida by only 537 votes which was about a 0.01% difference in vote margin between Bush and Gore. And some of the last votes to be counted in Florida that put Bush over the top were about 30,000 which tended to lean Republican. But these weren't any old votes. No. They were from the military overseas who voted in a majority for Bush, yet those postmarked votes did not arrive until the day after they were supposed to arrive in Florida, but were nonetheless counted. That's on top of the fact that the military clearly did not know what they were doing when they elected Bush because they never saw any of the debates or viewpoints from Vice President Al Gore and they weren't even in any of the 50 states to cast those votes. And keep in mind, this is ON TOP of the fact that Al Gore won the popular vote by more than 500,000 and that the Republican controlled Supreme Court at the time favored the Presidential candidate George W. Bush after they absolutely refused to have the votes in Florida recounted even though it had a razor-thick vote margin in the state. So when it comes down to it, do our votes really matter or is it just politics and a flawed electoral college system playing games with us?

The obesity rate from preschool-age children from poor families have fallen to very low rates of obesity which had a very high rate about 19 months ago. Sarah Palin who's against the First Lady, reversed completely what Michelle Obama said saying that "The First Lady says we should not eat dessert" when she said no such thing. What Mrs. Obama stated was that parents are the best role models for their kids and should make sure they exercise and only eat dessert ON OCCASION, not never like Palin claims. And of course, because of the last name, "Obama", Rush Limbaugh is attacking the First Lady over this and it's kind of obvious. As the valiant and courageous Lawrence O'Donnell said on his show, The Last Word, the other day, Limbaugh has a huge weight problem and would do anything to make sure the government doesn't take away his daily 50 oz. carbonated beverage or Mickey D's. He claims Mrs. Obama is a "hypocrite" and she's promoting us "eating nothing but roots, berries, and tree bark." But again, these far-right loons are fucking liars. All Mrs. Obama wants is to make sure we don't always eat Mac & Cheese or fried chicken and actually eat healthy foods like apples or spinach for once. And btw, Rush Limbaugh was born in 1951 and in roughly about the first 10 years of his life (not counting the end of the Truman tenure), Republican President Dwight Eisenhower and his wife, First Lady Mamie Eisenhower were in office. So it should really be questioned. Had Mamie been an advocate for ending obesity like First Lady Michelle Obama is now, what would Rush really look like? Would he still be a fatass, annoying SOB or would he be as slim and fit as the one and only Mr. Lawrence O'Donnell is?

"I understand and I will transit this message to Vladimir" was a line by then Russian President, Dmitry Medvedev. The right-wing believed he was in on some sort of "hard-hitting scandal" with the Russian government, but that of course proved to be entirely false. In fact, just the other day President Obama said he was going to the G-20 Summit in St. Petersburg, Russia, but is cancelling his trip to Moscow to meet with Vladimir Putin solely because of conflicts over arms control, human rights (specifically LGBT), and for giving temporary asylum to Edward Snowden.

So recently in Russia, President Vladimir Putin signed bill into law that keeps Americans from adopting children resulting in over 600,000 orphans in crowded orphanages who are all starving. Plus, he signed a bill into law that allows the Russian government to arrest or even whip gay people, forbids gay adoption, allows for the arresting of gay tourists or anybody who is "pro-gay" which can classify as holding a rainbow flag, talking great about the LGBT community, or even as something as simple as holding hands with someone of the same sex! Let's just bare in mind for a second, there are photos all over the Internet of a shirtless Vladimir Putin doing things like riding a horse or fishing and he did it with another MALE colleague, Dmitry Medvedev. Hypocrite much, Mr. Putin? And finally, to top it all off, Putin currently controls all major news outlets in the country so the Russian people get nothing but biased, Putin propaganda on their news which means a coup is unlikely not only because of the high security President Putin has, but most Russians actually buy into his bullshit. It's obvious this is a complete, Stalin-like dictatorship that needs to be put to a stop and if there's any justice in this world, we'll listen to George Takei on this and boycott the 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia and have them moved to Vancouver, Canada. Putin and the other extremely conservative top officials in their Federal Assembly are the main, controlling "United Russia" political party but what in the hell is united about Russia?! It's GOP paradise over there! Zero rights given to gays and lesbians and are severely punished, their economy predominantly favors the rich which is why their economy is failing so bad, and their flat out attacks on the now minority communists which is a direct relation to an attack on the poor. Oh, and let's not forget when he took away his black Labrador Retriever, Koni's, 8 puppies and gave them to a bunch of random citizens and politicians who were loyal to him. What needs to take place is a complete overhaul of Russia. When the communist controlled Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, the fiscally conservative Russians took over under Boris Yeltsin and the people of the country and elsewhere saw this as a progressive change that would also make their economy better. Neither of those ever happened. In 1991, the country went from far left-wing to far right-wing and the result was basically just an increase in unemployment and a continued, lackluster economy. So although Russia doesn't have another Presidential election until 2018, there are State Duma elections earlier on come 2016 which is the lower house of their Federal Assembly which is controlled by the United Russia Party. Putin's party holds a majority 238 seats while the Communist Party led by Gennady Zyuganov has 92 seats in the 450 seat body. So just like the 2014 midterms here in the United States, if the Communists can win control of the State Duma in 2016, that will hurt Putin significantly and he won't be able to get anything done anymore that harms the country.
Coolers, seat cushions, purses, and other bags are prohibited from entering stadiums and people are also checked by metal detectors before going in. Why not check it? Because it could still be dangerous and waste time in the process.
Rachel Maddow is mentioning how an abortion clinic that was open for over 30 years in Toledo, Ohio is closing it's doors. Because of that new abortion restriction bill Governor John Kasich signed into law in June. Great, so the few abortion clinics being closed is in Cincinnati where my sister lives. So if she ever gets raped, TOO BAD, because Governor John Kasich signed a piece of paper allowing less abortions to take place in Ohio. Maddow's bringing up an interesting story involving Rep. Kerry Bentivolio, a Democratic Rep. from American Samoa, and the Washington Redskins NFL team. Rep. Eni Faleomavaega (D-American Samoa) is asking the Washington Redskins team to change their team name because it offends Native Americans to call themselves that.

Even if Hillary runs. Donald Trump has said he's prepared too much as much money as needed into the race and said the reason Mitt Romney didn't win was because he wasn't worth ENOUGH.
Arizona has a law that allows a doctor to refuse to tell a woman about dangers problems in her pregnancy if they feel it would lead her to want an abortion? Ohio - If a woman wants an abortion, the doctor has to give a Republican written letter to them about the dangers of it.
Chris Christie has set the NJ Senate general election date for October 16th which is a Wednesday while the Governor's race between Christie and Buono is set for only 3 weeks after that on November 5th which is a Tuesday. And why is this? Because Christie is a chicken and he does not want to be on the same ballot as a Democrat who is as popular as Cory Booker which he thinks would ultimately help Barbara Buono out. And with this win for Booker and assuming he beats Lonegan now, this will not only be a Democratic pickup with the new Senate expected to have 55 Democrats and 45 Republicans, but he will be the 8th ever African American Senator and the 4th elected by popular vote. So Booker has nothing to do with what the Christie Administration does, and yet Christie is worrying still over nothing! He's leading his Democratic challenger by double digits and he has an even higher approval than Hillary! He's got 53.1 going into 2016 as the "hottest politician" (not literally of course) to Hillary's 52.1 and Elizabeth Warren's 49.2. And this is on top of it costing NJ taxpayer's $12,000,000 extra dollars to have a separate election on another day. Meanwhile, Christie is also in the media involving some gun control. Particularly, it involves a 50 caliber sniper rifle bullet. It's so big that it's the length of a carrot and is primarily used by the military. Currently, this one bullet which can automatically kill you if it hits a vital part of the body, is legal to be bought for anyone over 18. Christie has signed 10 pieces of common sense gun legislation passed by the Democratic controlled NJ state legislature, but it was mostly a bunch of bills that increase sentences in prison for illegal gun use. New Jersey itself is a very progressive state because they were actually the first state to ban assault weapons back in 1990. Christie is being urged to sign 5 remaining bills he left sitting on his desk which includes a ban on .50-caliber rifles; one of the most powerful weapons ever. There's also a background check bill which sits on his desk unsigned, so it's a matter if he does the right thing for his state or he chickens out and does what his national party wants.
Bob Packwood - "Someone who knows a thing or two about tax reform." In November 1992, 29 women had accused Packwood of sexual harassment as he had tried to kiss them or even pull off their clothes. He sought rehab therapy in Minnesota, but it ended up failing as those 29 women testified against Packwood in court. A Senate Ethics Committee ended up expelling Sen. Packwood and was forced to resign from the United States Senate in September 1995. Senate Republicans had hoped to hold onto that seat, but given Oregon's tendency to be a Democratic state, Ron Wyden picked the seat up for the Democrats in the 1995 special election and has held it ever since. Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) had been involved in putting Packwood down, and now she's involved in something else very similar 20 years later. And it's none other than her old colleague, San Diego Mayor Bob Filner who has also went into rehab therapy and has already been accused by 14 people of stuff similar to Packwood. And now Sen. Barbara Boxer is saying that Mayor Filner should resign and did it in a very harsh tone towards him by saying he has "betrayed the trust" of all women.

Russia and Olympic Committee need to come to an agreement to allow gays and lesbians to come there and compete without getting arrested or harassed for who they are. If this can't happen, then the 2014 Winter Olympic Games should be boycotted and brought to Vancouver, Canada where they have the facilities to have them. The opposition is saying the games should still take place in Russia on concern of that some of the athletes who spent years practicing to get where they did wouldn't be able to compete. There was even a video displayed that showed a gay guy in Russia who met with someone else over the Internet that thought he was also gay met only to see that this other guy wasn't gay Emma Green-Tregaro of Sweden was generous enough to paint her nails the LGBT colors while some Russian, Putin ass-kissing bitch by the name of Yelena Isinbayeva an Ambassador for Sochi 2014 and mayor of the main athletes. She claims that "these of kind of problems" never existed in Russia and it's always been man and woman or woman and man. Nick Symmonds, an American Olympic runner, says she's behind the times and homosexuals deserve rights to. The problem is, this Russian government is so authoritarian and so far-right that they manipulate their people through the media that LGBT people are terrible and for those who don't think that, Putin uses fear and intimidation on those who might be closeted gay or just pro-gay. The police would even arrest gay people and would do nothing to those attacking or harassing them. If enough gay people or those who are pro-gay come forward in this discriminatory fight (especially those who are in the Olympics), the Olympic Committee will have no choice but to listen to the voice of most people and stop pleasing Vladimir Putin.
Over 600 people have already died in Egypt. The military-controlled Egypt is now using their media polarization to get people to believe the military are the "victims" of the Muslim Brotherhood who are "terrorists" and tried avoiding showing any of the slaughter photos at all costs. The U.S. actually has little influence to on what's happening here despite the Obama Administration not declaring Morsi's overthrow as a military coup. This means the United States will continue to give the $1.3 billion in federal aid to Egypt which has been done since 1987, but even if they withdrew all aid from the country, it would still have little effect if not overall better effects for the Egyptian military controlled government. Egypt's Arab allies would most likely give even more aid than the U.S. does to Egypt which would help them even more. In November 1981, something interesting started that now relates to this as well. In North Carolina, the U.S. Air Force played a simulation game with a few other nations as they had a "fake war" and bombed certain areas in Egypt that Egypt permitted which happened shortly after Egypt had a peace treaty with the U.S. friendly country of Israel. This thing took so long and was so expensive that instead of being done every year, it would be done every 2 years. However, between 1981 and now in 2013, some of these have been cancelled either for the Cold War or the Gulf War or the War in Iraq or now these Egyptian coups of both Mubarak in 2011 and now 2013 when another was supposed to take place. In 1999, about 30 countries participated in perhaps the most well-known one where a country called "Orange Land" was attacking Egypt and take control of the Nile River. So luckily, President Obama wants no part with Egypt and having a fake, pretend war that would have been called "Operation Bright Star" with them for what is now happening over there.
North Carolina Governor, Pat McCrory, is down to a 39% approval from 48% in May. It's the lowest since he entered office in January. The voter ID bill is actually more than a bill. It's a multi-part plan. Appalachian State University which is a heavily Democratic area in Boone, North Carolina in Watauga County which went for Obama with 3,211 to 1,843 for Romney. The county went for Romney by about a hair, but because this area of the county went for Obama, they are cutting early voting ended same-day voter registration, and can't vote unless you have a government photo ID, and NO college student IDs are accepted. Governor McCrory was the first elected Republican Governor since the 1980s and when he assumed office, he appointed a new State Board of Elections which now has a Republican majority and this new board put Republicans in control of most local boards around the whole state. They are taking 3 precincts in Watauga County around Boone and putting them all into 1 which will force 9,300 voters to all have to vote in 1 voting place. The last law revised by NC about this was in 1990 which required no more than 1,500 voters would be allowed per precinct, yet these NC Republicans are making it so 9,300 people will have to share one voting place. Obviously, this isn't only federally unconstitutional, but also unconstitutional by the state constitution. The county chairman of this county is now also challenging an African American college student named Montravias King who wants to run for an Elizabeth City Council seat and this guy is saying he can't run because of his residency and attends a ECSU University which is historically African American. Clearly, this is voter suppression and the Supreme Court has ruled before that it's unconstitutional to not allow college students to vote, yet NC doesn't care! The Republican controlled majority local board ended up saying he can't run because he had only been there since 2009, but he was a registered voter from there and evidence allowed him to legally run. And now there's a surge from NC Republican leaders to urge other Republicans in charge to keep other students at colleges from voting under bullshit excuses.
Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R) of Oklahoma told at a town hall meeting saying what do "louchers" need food stamps for? Over the next decade now, there will be $40 billion in cuts to food stamps aka SNAP after the House passed a bill 216-206 to de-fund it. According to the far right, these people are "bums" that get free money to go and buy food at the taxpayer's loss. Less than 2% of the actual program goes to people who don't really need or deserve it data shows. Also, 25% of people eligible don't even sign up while 91% of SNAP benefits go to families living under the poverty line which is at $23,550 a year for family of four and 55% of SNAP benefits go to families living at half the poverty line at about below $10,000 per year. Among 254 counties where between 2007 and 2011 food stamps increased significantly for users among, 213 of them went for Mitt Romney in the 2012 Presidential Election. What Republicans don't know is that they apparently don't realize to get into SNAP, it is incredibly hard nowadays while a large majority who do qualify don't realize it. Heck, these Republican obstructionists don't even know what some of these families have to go through. Sometimes, a family of five experiences a huge loss when the father loses his job and have to rely on food stamps to survive at the very minimal least.

"If you believe in God, then you intellectually cannot believe in global warming or else you must be agnostic or an atheist." - Rush Limbaugh
The Heritage Foundation is now trying to help a dying Republican Party with their own so-called "right" effort, but man did it fail badly. Well, before we get to that, Rush Limbaugh is being an idiot again...how surprising. He's mentioning how in The Dark Night Rise, it was kind of fishy how the villain was named "Bane" and it was a "liberal conspiracy" against Mitt Romney because his company was named Bain Capital, but even though those 2 words are spelled differently and Romney didn't even own Bain Capital back in 1981, Rush still insists he's right! But now there's this group called The Sentinels who represent the Heritage Foundation run by it's President, fmr. South Carolina Senator, Jim DeMint (R). It's these nice looking ladies who protest stuff like the IRS, but apparently, they didn't do their research. The Sentinels are the well-known enemies in the comic book series, The X-Men. So this implies that even though they don't realize it, that these Republican idiots are really the enemies who want to destroy the Earth! This is the same Foundation that said there shouldn't be immigration reform because immigrants are "dumb dumb dumb" and most have low IQs, don't get any farther than 10th grade, and louch off of welfare. So now the newest thing is that The Sentinels are suggesting from a "non-biased poll" that shutting down the government would not dwell away from the House majority in 2014. But here's the catch. The people they asked in this were in a combined # of 10 Congressional Districts and asked "Do you support the Republican attempt to shut down the government to de-fund Obamacare" in the most pathetic, paraphrased way ever. They basically asked if they would support a government stoppage of just a few little programs with the essential ones still being around to help the Republican effort of putting down Obamacare. To make it even more biased than that, they asked people in 6 congressional districts controlled by a Republican Representative and 4 controlled by a Democrat Representative. And those 4 districts where there's Democratic Reps. aren't even really Democratic districts! In West Virginia's 3rd district, there's a guy by the name of Nick Rahall (D) in charge there which went for Romney with 65% and Obama only 32.8% in 2012, but still constitutes as a "Democratic area" according to Heritage. Or in North Carolina's 7th district where Mike McIntyre (D) is the representative, but 59.1% of the vote went for Romney while only 39.8% for Obama. So clearly, this polling was very partisan and this is the foundation that thinks they're completely right and can help the flaws of the current Republican Party.
GOP Primary debates are being suggested by the RNC to be hosted by the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Matt Levin, or Sean Hannity. Yep, because what more to Americans want then these loudmouths to control the debates and not let the candidates talk in the 2016 debates? RNC Chairman Reince Priebus is now saying he's keeping CNN guys like John King or especially NBC guys from allowing them to be hosting and asking his Republican guys the questions in 2016 and thinks this nation is best off with Rush Limbaugh of all people as the moderator who says in response he probably wouldn't do it because he's "too famous." LOL. First of all, the major flaw here is these guys can't shut their mouths for shit and the moment someone they don't like such as Chris Christie would respond "That's wrong" to everything him, Rand Paul, Jon Huntsman, or someone else they might not like says something.

Michigan Proposal 1 was on the Michigan ballot in 2012 and it put an end to a required emergency manager, but Snyder and the GOP controlled state legislature said "F you" and passed the law again a month after being repealed. The Federal Appeals Court is now trying to shut down this law because it went into effect immediately even though Michigan law requires it to have a waiting period of 3 months unless a 2/3rds majority took place on the bill in the state legislature which didn't occur. Clearly this is an infringement as well on democracy and dwelling away from this one man dictatorship of this "emergency manager" in Detroit. Detroit, Pontiac, Allen Park, Benton Harbor, Hamtramck, Flint
Obamacare gives 30 million Americans free health care, yet here's this hypocrisy from the Christian union agreeing with Sen. Ted Cruz (R) of Texas or Rep. Michele Bachmann (R) of Minnesota that Obamacare is a liberty destroying, "senior killing" unneeded, bankrupting program that makes women, children and senior citizens "vulnerable." Not only is Bachmann a joke for a Christian, but the Republican right are a bunch of liars. Cruz said he wants to abolish Obamacare completely and that Obamacare will cost MORE for the American people even though it's the exact opposite of that. Congressman Ted Yoho (R) of Florida is also saying that Obamacare is "racist", yet believe it or not, this is the same guy who took food stamps when he was young. If he thinks he's the only one in the country who deserves government aid, he can keep on pretending. 30 Million Ameericans, pre-existing conditions covered, no dropping sick parents, young adults can stay on parents plan until 26, and free preventive care, free well-woman doctor visits, free birth control, save money, America will save money, and the Medicare loophole will be closing. And another thing to, seniors should not be allowed to vote at all. This sounds very Republican-like to restrict voting rights, but let's take in that it's the senior citizens for why Bush was elected thanks to carrying Florida and they tend to be reliably Republican. I have no problem in their political affiliation, but here's the actual problem. Most seniors still think the Republican Party now was the Republican Party back in Eisenhower or Goldwater's time, but in reality it's not. Today's Republican Party believes in abolishing Medicare, social security, pension funds and whatever else to keep seniors from retiring, yet seniors still vote for these idiots. It's really the Democratic Party who want to assist senior citizens, yet what do they get in return for fighting for their Medicare rights? The cold shoulder. It's also a problem that senior citizens are not living in the 21st century and still think marriage is between a man and a woman or gun rights should be fully implemented. And despite this, it's the Republican political brand who want to keep college students from voting even though we're the ones who focus on the issues and are the true progressives. They even went for Romney last year over Obama by 12 points.
"Is the Christian Conservative Campaign against Obamacare dangerous for America?" Text Ed "A" for yes, "B" for no. Trender #3 - The PowerBall has been won. Trender #2 - A controversial judge in the state of Tennessee has ordered a mother cannot name her son Messiah. Trender #3 - Racial profiling taking place among the police force who are discriminating against blacks in major cities. And Ed further talked about with his guest about how this racial profiling is thanks to none other than the Independent, Democratic leaning Mayor of NYC, Michael Bloomberg! It's time for NYC to get to work and elect a REAL Mayor of NYC they can trust and rely on in 2013.
Now time for Ask Ed Live! First question comes from Linda, "Why should Dems care if the GOP refuse t debate a wider audience?" And Ed's answer on the question is perfect! He is calling the RNC Chairman Reince Priebus an idiot and obstructionist who are only looking to get attention out of this attack on Presidential debates.
Oh God...Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) claims he's the largest progressive in the U.S. Senate and the "greatest defender of minority rights." xD Well, Sen. Paul, Ed has you! Senator Rand Paul also said that there's no voter discrimination going on, but an MSNBC poll shows that in the 2012 election, blacks and Hispanics had to wait TWICE as long as whites 20.2 to 12.7 300,000 people in NC lack a government ID to now vote and this new bill also prohibits pre-registration for 16 and 17 year old's.

Clint Eastwood,
Exactly 60 years ago, the United States overthrew the Prime Minister of Iran, Mohammad Mosaddegh, who was very popular among his people in Iran. The reason being for his popularity there was because he wanted to restore Iran's oil and get it for themselves instead of being run by Britain. And of course, given the good ties between the U.S. and Britain, they felt the need to defend them here and they overthrew the popular guy rather than the very unpopular Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, at the time who would eventually get overthrown finally in 1979. The West was completely against it, and as a result, they ordered a coup to overthrow this guy and he was ultimately put under house arrest. And the weird thing is, until today, the United States did not admit to taking part in this big military coup of the Prime Minister of Iran. In fact that day after it happened on August 20th, 1953, Russia clearly stated that it was the U.S. led by the CIA that did this and even the U.S. citizens knew about it to, but not until today, 60 years later, are the CIA finally admitting it.
Ted Cruz is "renouncing" his Canadian citizenship as this Tea Party darling and U.S. Senator from Texas who might run for President in 2016 is saying that he's always been an American when he released his birth certificate the other day. He stated that, "I believe I should only be an American" and "He was an American at birth" even though he said in the same line that he didn't move from Canada to the United States until age 4! Vice President Joe Biden is also saying now he has a great chance at winning the Democratic primary even if Hillary does run in the race to. Richard Burr is also saying that a government shutdown is the stupidest idea he's ever heard while Rand Paul also says a government shutdown would be stupid, but added on that the Republican controlled House should continue to pass revisions or delays on Obamacare which he would then expect the Democratic controlled Senate to pass and then Obama to sign. Not happening Rand.

They've renewed the Daily Show for another 30 years. They think that Jon Stewart can do another 16 years when he'll be 66 years old when they claim he'll retire as Johnny Carson retired then, and John Oliver would fill the other 14 years which after those are over would retire at the age of 66 as well. The reason this is kind of flawed was because Carson retired in 1992 when the average living age was lower which has since increased. For example, David Letterman is 66 and plans to continue on his show for awhile yet.

Governor Paul LePage - "Obama hates whites"
Governor Christie endorses Steve Lonegan for Senate and believes he actual stands a chance at winning and compares a lot of his views to Lonegan's. He says he's all for Lonegan and helping him out, but by setting the election for October, Lonegan won't be able to get the Christie boost. And at 10:34 PM here on the East Coast on August 20th, Lawrence O'Donnell is calling the New Jersey Senate election for the Democrat, Cory Booker, weeks before the actual election. I don't blame him lol.
House officially refuses vote on immigration bill and it's killed.
57,000 children cut from Head Start program which was designed to increase literacy, employment, earnings and health, yet the Republicans are loving it! Boys are also 5% more likely than girls to get suspended in school. It cuts $400 million in the program which has been the largest cut since it started under LBJ in 1965.
Colorado GOP in Northeast succeeding
Clint Murphy - Republican cancer survivor who now supports health care
Is it going to save any money? - Sole Democrat on Boone County Board and the Republicans say none. 3 precincts, Boone's 1st, 2nd and 3rd which are all Democratic leaning are all being combined into one to force 9,300 people to vote in one voting location and won't allow the college students there to vote on campus. Josh Howard, a recent Republican appointee to another major city in NC as Chairman and says if there's anything the NC GOP-controlled Boards need to focus on it's keep anyone from putting these meetings on Youtube anymore! That's there BIG problem! This guy has no problem that he's restricting the rights of so many Democratic voters in North Carolina and would rather focus on Youtube videos. And get this! When they asked the people who put the whole video on Youtube to shorten it down a bit, they did, but that wasn't good enough for them! Instead, they created another one of the same meeting which avoided any of the Republican stupidity in it and just involved "discussion by the board." What's even more embarrassing and ignorant for them is that they pretended like the comment on it not saving any money never happened nor any of their other awful comments, but someone managed to film these idiots admitting they needed to find a way to keep these videos from being aired anymore. McCrory has said in response to signing this voter ID bill that no voting rights have been restricted and Republicans aren't doing anything! Oh, and apparently NC voters can "register online" or have many other options open! That's a complete lie Governor McCrory.
Hillary Clinton - focuses on rights of disabled, LGBT, women
29% of Louisiana Republicans are blaming President OBAMA for Hurricane Katrina while only 28% are blaming former President George W. Bush and the other 44% are unsure.
Syrian President Bashar Assad just used chemical weapons to kill over 100 Syrian women and children. Northern and Eastern suburbs, specifically apartments, were attacked with these rockets and these hospitals were being flooded within an hour. We have another Saddam Hussein on our hands with this, gentlemen. Saddam back when he was in control of Iraq killed about 5,000 people with Sarin gas and as a result ended up being captured, put on trial, and killed. When a chemical weapons convention was brought about on the Sarin gas, Iraq did attend it, but Assad's country of Syria along with North Korea, Angola, Egypt, South Sudan, and Somalia did not sign onto it. The Syrian government is claiming they did no such thing, yet when asked if they would let U.N. inspectors go there just to verify, Syria has refused to allow them into these areas.

1 VOTING PLACE for 9,300 PEOPLE. And you have to get there by a bus with the schedule not even given out and if you manage to get on, they drop you off far away from the voting precinct and the voting place only has about 30 parking places. Luckily, MSNBC's Rachel Maddow is regularly talking about this corrupt, obstructionist Republican way to win elections in the future for themselves. They know their base is shrinking and instead of trying to focus on other people besides white males, they decide to try and rig the elections so as to not allow certain people to not vote. Even at Elizabeth Christian State University in NC which is historically black, they're not allowing them to vote from college there but the historically white campus across the street, Mid-Atlantic, IS ALLOWED. Racist pieces of shit. And they hold large enough majorities in both houses of their state legislature, so I don't see why they even have to do this pathetic attempt to do away with the claimed "voter fraud" Even though there was only 1 CASE of voter fraud last year. Marriage equality, very strict gun control including which would include bans on gun magazines, .50 calibers, of course criminal background checks, ban assault and military style weapons and so many other things, ensuring Roe v. Wade is upheld, abolish the 2nd Amendment, attempt to re-write PARTS of the Constitution, re-enact the 18th Amendment which would ban the sale or production of beer and other alcoholic beverages, keep marijuana illegal, severely cut military spending, increase funding for social programs especially food stamps, cut spending for the VA, raise the minimum wage to at least $10 an hour, raise taxes on the rich, give tax breaks to the poor and middle class, regulate the private sector, = PERFECT Sen. Jim Bunning (R-KY) - "Ginsburg will die within 9 months from the cancer." She ended up responding to this statement by returning to work 18 days after surgery and later on said she's in full health and most recently stated she would not step down from the Supreme Court anytime soon. Christie's cake guy endorses him, John Kerry - Syria Justice Department sues Texas over new voter ID law and New York to sue Donald Trump over not doing what they said they were doing at Trump University. New Mexico's largest county to issue same-sex marriages as ruled by judge. GOP Chairman of Illinois, Pat Brady resigns after saying he supports marriage equality. Illinois which has a Democratic Governor and a Democratic controlled state legislature is still not acting on passing same-sex marriage there even though it's Obama's state! In Alabama, young people aren't as divided on same-sex marriage as their Republican leaders in the state. Alabama Republicans lashed out against this by attempting to throw out a moderate Republican in the state who endorses marriage equality and said if there's any Alabama Republicans who don't agree with every view of theirs, they'll throw them out of the party. The ACLU has now hired Steve Schmidt who is a Republican that often appears on MSNBC to go around the country and try to get these Republicans to try to pass more laws in support of it. 42% say there should only be humanitarian assistance, 24% say they shouldn't get involved at all Thousands of kids jailed in Birmingham, Alabama jail with a total of $160,000 bail money needed. Nelson Rockefeller, a Republican who was the Governor of New York at that time, set a meeting with MLK Jr. at a bank vault and when they met, Governor Rockefeller came out of a safe with $100,000 in cash which was a loan for the kids that MLK had to sign on to ensure it was eventually returned, but bail out money to help these African American school children nonetheless. Clarence Jones who helped counsel and provide advice on MLK's March on Washington speech. Wow. Rachel Maddow is exposing the awful past of the FBI lol. Apparently, the Director of the FBI at the time, J. Edgar Hoover, was incredibly racist and had tried framing MLK on numerous occasions and even sent him a letter to "kill himself." omg, Obama used "We the people" in his speech this afternoon Jimmy Carter "I wonder what MLK would have said about these restrictive Stand Your Ground laws, about 835,000 African Americans having been jailed since or what he would have said about the Supreme Court striking down part of the Voting Rights Act." John Lewis - only speaker from March on Washington still alive. Fredrick Harris is an idiot. Lawrence O'Donnell brings him on to discuss the impact of MLKs speech 50 years ago, and he goes off on a rant about Obama's "awful" speech today. A new Missouri bill states anyone in the state could buy whatever gun they want to and any federal agents who try to regulate them in the state or even do their jobs will be jailed. At first, it passed the Republican controlled Missouri state legislature, but it was vetoed by the Democratic Governor, Jay Nixon. As a result, the GOP will try to override his veto, but some Republicans like Jay Barnes in the state House of Representatives wants no part of it. This is also taking place in Tennessee as the Republican controlled legislature and Governorship there want to make federal intervention on gun control illegal. B. Todd Jones, who was recently successfully appointed as the Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives after 2 years and a native of Ohio, will have to intervene on what's happening in some of these obstructionist states and act accordingly. Leith, North Dakota Right, well Syria lied. They said they had nothing to do with it or the chemical weapons that were in play, but Secretary of State John Kerry announced the other day that the Obama Administration found out it's "undeniable" that Syria's Assad regime used them on their citizens around Damascus. And Tea Party Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) just basically owned Kerry after Kerry said that the plan is to go in there with the military, but the intent is to apparently NOT help overthrow Assad. It would just result in more taxpayer money gone to waste. What I find pathetic is how many Democrats are kissing Obama's ass. I can guarantee if Obama wasn't a Democrat, a lot of these Democrats in Congress wouldn't be planning to vote for action in Syria. This measure should easily be failing in the Democratic controlled U.S. Senate, but it probably won't. There's just too many Democrats already on board. John Kerry's a complete mess and a total hypocrite nowadays. It's these hard-working Americans in places like McDonald's or Wal-Mart who can't get high enough wages because these jackasses in the NFL, MLB or NBA think they deserve these 7 figure wages. Then these guys should get off their butts and actually contribute something to America. They have some skills in a job aside from football. The only positive thing I can currently say about the NFL is the good the Baltimore Ravens are doing in helping President Obama now promote Obamacare throughout the state of Maryland. College football players have it easy. Throwing around an oval shaped ball does not contribute ANYTHING to the manufacturing industry of America. That's what the other, actual jobs are for. If they realize it risks their lives, they shouldn't be playing at all. Not acting like a bunch of babies and suing the NFL because they got concussions that were THEIR faults. .....I didn't even know they got paralyzed, but concussions have also caused tons of deaths. This is why we need to put a nationwide ban on football. It's too dangerous for America. And it's the reason for why we have these high obesity rates because a lot of them think they need to gain a lot of weight for a stupid game. That wouldn't have happened if he didn't put his health in jeopardy like that in terms of several factors. First off, his unhealthy weight problem and then all these blows that ppl like them decide to willingly take because that's what the game of football gets them into - dangerous, uncalled for action. If I were President, I would advocate it completely. A lot of Democrats might even agree because the facts of the dangers of football are right there. And there's no way they'd ban sex before football. (Straight) sex creates life, football ends lives. The ratio of deaths in sex to lives created from sex? Kind of obvious. No lives are created from football and only deaths. Well, another benefit to banning football is a lot of these football addicted men will come back to reality and will be able to focus on politics more than getting any kind of entertainment from people hurting each other. And that's the risk of politics (NOT lives, just political careers). I know this has been announced for a few days now, but I'd like to remind everyone since I don't think it's been posted on here yet. So much for Ed FitzGerald trying not to make his whole campaign about abortion because he's Catholic. And The Plain Dealer successfully predicted it before it was even known at all.Although she has little name recognition outside of OH-10 (and not even a Wiki page), this was really a good choice by FitzGerald. Tracy Maxwell Heard may have been better, but she didn't seem interested and this pick of Neuhardt by the Democrats now means that all major 4 parties running have a female running mate since Kasich is expected to run with Taylor again. And while she did lose to Turner and has a bad track record of losing, she ran in very conservative districts. She has great fundraising ability like Kearney did and FitzGerald will need that benefit going up against Kasich who has the backing of the Ohio Republicans and outside groups. Kasich should be worried to because he's not even campaigning and because FitzGerald lacks a money advantage, he's making up for that by visiting all parts of Ohio rather than advertising. Plus FitzGerald needs the most help in southwestern Ohio and if he can get good turnout from Montgomery County, that could partially make up for the loss of what would be Hamilton County. Then there's also the fact that she's very pro-reproductive rights which means the FitzGerald camp can luckily turn the focus to the issues more than the recent controversy within the party and continue to attack Kasich for the restrictive 2013 state budget with help from Ohio NARAL and Planned Parenthood Advocates as a former board member. If that doesn't help rally women out for FitzGerald-Neuhardt, I don't know what will. At a recent event in Dayton, Neuhardt said it best in this big announcement with a statement targeted at Kasich, "You're going to be sorry you messed with women come November." Sabato's recent January update still has it as likely R, but he literally has no idea what he's talking about or for that matter what's even going on in Ohio, so I'm sticking with Rothenberg's tossup. In other lesser news, veterinarian Donald Allen (I laughed when I saw this) and Kelly Kohls, an Ohio Tea Party leader, are considering running together in the GOP Primary against Kasich/Taylor with only 2 weeks left to decide and get 1,000 signatures. Although Allen, a Youngstown native, isn't actually a member of the Tea Party, Zawistowski is hoping for a last minute challenger to Kasich (as am I) after Stevenot/Mack abandoned the idea. However, it's the curse of the Ohio running mates because Kelly Kohls who would run as the Lt. Governor candidate with Allen also has financial problems and filed for bankruptcy in 2010, but they're still undecided on what to do. It really won't matter much at all though if they enter or not because Stevenot clearly had a better base of Tea Partiers than Allen would and I doubt Kasich would want to spend any money on a veterinarian and someone who's bankrupt. Also of note is that Republican Governor John Kasich has announced that he'll give his State of the State address on February 24th in Medina while Ed FitzGerald is expected to give his State of the County address here in Cleveland on February 19th. Medina is in Northeast Ohio, but it's a mostly reliable Republican county that gave Romney 56% of the vote in 2012. The main reason for this is to boost Kasich's media heading into his planned announcement to run for re-election and is the same area represented by outgoing Ohio House Speaker William Batchelder. He's already begun the transition by creating a larger campaign staff and has a lot of money on hand which he could use whenever. Kasich is pretty well-known for hosting his events in small cities to and breaking the Columbus tradition for the event. This will be FitzGerald's last State of the County address , but it will also be Kasich's last State of the State Address . Also worth mentioning, Medina County is right below Cuyahoga County and plans to attend a dinner event on February 13th in Independence which is within Cuyahoga County, so the "bring it on" attitude from Kasich is definitely visible here towards FitzGerald. Hopefully, Ed Schultz gets on this story because he's a strong anti-Kasich advocate and will stop at nothing to make sure the Mideast Republican Governors are taken down in 2014. In Portune Paradise, he had a remarkable 9 people show up at one of his events! Way to go Todd! You get 'em! Other events he was at have had very low turnout or were cancelled, but he's still feeling optimistic and thinks he could still win without any support, money or name recognition, but is still undecided. Does somebody need to spell this out for him?! H E C A N ' T W I N. Not even the return of Kucinich could save this trainwreck of a campaign if you can even call it that. Redfern is also getting accusations to now for "making fun of" Portune's leg disability in his comments, but Redfern assured he wasn't even with evidence and would never stoop to the same level that Portune did when he blatantly attacked Ed FitzGerald, so any sympathy Portune may have been hoping for from Democrats he's not getting. He's done squat compared to FitzGerald in terms of groundwork and it's annoying how he's trying to take that away from him in a potential primary. Portune also has his family to think about to because he's divorced with three kids, and he shouldn't be putting politics before his family when he's a single father. Portune is also saying that he's still deciding on a running mate between three potentials who have yet to be named and without party support, I'm predicting this effort will flop big time and Portune won't even make it on the ballot in failing to get 1,000 signatures by February 5th. It just won't happen, so this is a big sigh of relief and Portune will just continue to be comedy hour. In the meantime, when this guy is up for re-election again, someone should really primary him. He's a joke to Ohio Democrats. Down ballot, Democratic candidate for Attorney General and former Hamilton County Commissioner, David Pepper, is in the news for attacking Republican Attorney General Mike DeWine for not standing up for voting rights. DeWine responded by spouting off nonsense about how the Attorney General is only supposed to "defend the state" and it's laws, yet he also has the ability to give legal advice to the state and county prosecutors which could help. Instead, DeWine is standing with Secretary of Suppression Jon Husted in appealing the Kasich Re-Election Protection Act ruling and will continue to allow Kasich and Husted to run wild. I'm most likely going to vote for Pepper despite his association with Portune, but it's not that it really matters anyways because Pepper stands little to no chance of beating DeWine since the latest PPP poll had DeWine +14 on him. In other big news, FitzGerald received another huge endorsement from another prominent black politician in Ohio, Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson. Jackson himself is known for supporting reforms to help struggling schools and has worked with Kasich on this. This also means it's all but guaranteed FitzGerald will get the backing of African Americans in this election and FitzGerald notices it to. He said in his recent comments that Governor Kasich will be his competition and won't focus on Portune which goes well for Democrats and where they put their money. Even if Portune enters the race, it would seriously be a waste of money at this point and every last penny should be used on Kasich. FitzGerald is also going after Kasich for a lack of equal pay and high unemployment resulting from many people in the state being uneducated on Kasich's watch. From the job numbers in November, Ohio was also 46th in job creation leading the nation in job losses, so that's really the only "Ohio miracle" that's happening here considering Obama bailed us out not long ago. FitzGerald is really being underestimated in this race by Ohio Republicans and I'm sure they'll regret doing this. He was successfully elected as a Lakewood city councilman, as mayor, and as the Cuyahoga County Executive, and the next route is the Governorship. And I apologize in advance for all of the links. I haven't updated this race in awhile.
